TractorJoe, it ain't all good. Opened an account and placed an order for a Kioti part last Friday about quitting time. Did not receive email confirmation but believed it would occur Sat AM...Call Sat said they were closed. OK, wait till Monday (holiday), wait till Tues. Talked to Josh said had not received order but part was not in stock and would take weeks to get from Korea. Received tel from Marina (owner) saying thought could get part in week by air, would confirm and call back...Fast forward to Thursday. Noticed part amount withdrawn from my bank. Called and alerted them that this may be a problem. Called TractorJoe again, talked to Josh. Told him the problem and he said order would be cnx and refund. On that telcon there was lots of echos like a poor skype call. In light of all the scams I've heard of lately, this got scary quick. Still have no emails of any actions/confirmations etc. @18jan0915 central. Customers be aware, Company you have work to do. Since this posting on their website, Marina has called twice giving me "down the country" because I've told this story. BTW.... Marina has a very thick accent and Josh tells me she of Russian decent. That contributed to my alertness, you know. Standing by for a cancel on the order, a refund on the charge and an email confirming anything. @18Jan0950C

hmm, I usually use a true 'credit card' that I can then sick them on the merchant as a case of fraud, havne't had an issue doing that process where I've had a couple cases similar to yours, CC companies have much more clout than us peons.

Yes - I DO hope you get this ironed out. I've NEVER used anything other than my credit card when ordering on line. You are absolutely correct frugalangler - CC company has major clout in a situation such as this.

There have been several posts over the years on concerns with Tractor Joe. They do have an A BBB rating though with 100% solution rating.

That is about how much value a BBB rating is worth - nothing. You can buy your rating - it just takes a little creativity.

I have used them , do not expect communication or confirmations , the part will arrive in due time and any issue I've had was quickly resolved with a phone call. Its old fashion customer service in the 21st century

In the past having had a problem I resorted to BBB.
They told me that I needed to join up to become a member in order to make a complaint!
Seems only qualified members can use BBB.

Followup: After a number of conversations with and about TractorJoe, I can say my worst fears were unrealized. The combination of events and impressions seem to have resulted in a SNL "Never Mind" event. My purchase funds was returned promptly and fences mended. Marina has made a real attempt to make things right and dispel any feelings that TractorJoe is other than an Honorable business. Learning should occur from any encounter and there are lessons to be learned. I kinda think they will be. No hard feelings remain. I am impressed that an immigrant, doing the right thing is here. May she prosper.
