A bearing on the primary shaft in the transmission of my Jinma304 self destructed. I was using the backhoe at the time. Had been for about 10 minutes, but the tractor had been running for about an hour. I was running at 1500 rpm while hoeing, but was at idle and off the tractor when it gave a lurch and made an ominous sound. I immediately shut it down and have only run it while trouble shooting to find the bad part.
What I was wondering, was if anyone has been in this deep in the tranny and if they had any advice. It looks as though the tractor will have to be split in half to me. I am mechanically minded but by no means a mechanic. I have a friend who has offered to help. The tractor is parked in my narrow gravel drive with hoe still attached. I am including a diagram of the part.
Thanks in advance,
Jim
