Well after spending 3 hours trying to blow snow with the rear blower my back was killing me. So has anyone tried a backup camera to make it easier? See where they are not much more expensive than a set of mirrors.

I've used backup cameras, but not for snow blowing.
I would not recommend it.
They are great for when you are backing your truck up
to hook up a trailer and hopefully, see that there is nothing
in the way or to center the ball of your trailer to your hitch.
But, to use it to blow snow, not a good idea.
It would be like trying to blow snow while looking in a rear view
mirror. Things are just not the same. OK for an occasional
glance to see what's there, but not for constant use.

Just my opinion.

I use one on my tractor for baling hay and it works great and I think it would work for u too

I installed one today.I bought the commercial grade one off ebay for 250.00 delivered to my door.It has fifty feet view in total darkness,120 degrees, seven inch screen.I removed the inside mirror and installed the monitor on that bracket.I turned all the lights off in the barn and could see as if was daytime.I can back the tractor all over the yard just looking into the monitorwith no problems.,Can't wait to try it snowblowing.

I'll be very interested in the snowblowing results using a camera to look back. :D
Hopefully they are positive results and prove to be very useful.

I'm wondering about keeping the camera lens clear of blowing snow, and driving response time.

i installed my camera on top of the back window under the roof.I don't think the snow will bother it.Hopefully

I don't why you thimk it wouldn't work .Truck drivers have been using mirrors for years backing up those 53' trailers into those little docks or alley ways with no problem. Most of the monitors used for backing to hook your small boat or tractor trailer are only 3.5 inch screen,to hard to see for blowing snow but the 7" or 10" monitor is allot bigger and better visibility.Like I said can't wait for snow to try it out.
JD what do you use to back your trailer into your driveway?Do you use your mirrors or do you hang out the window to see? If you hang out the window it must be hard on the back:)

this is the one I went with .Nice piece of equipment.7 inch screen

Thats a nice camera. I went with the CabCam from A&I Products. It came with a 7" LCD color Monitor with night vision and 2 wireless cameras and also has sound. I use them when baling. I like you mounted just above my rear window and the other on the rear of the baler. Works great and i can add 2 more cameras and watch all 4 at the same time on a split screen or just watch one. I wouldnt take for mine and am thinking about installing one in my truck for when im towing my gooseneck or RV.
