Need a little help..I have a L3130 and love it..The loader is a 513 and seems a little weak. Thought I would make up for it by purchasing a backhoe. The local Kubota dealers claim I can't put a BH90 on because of the small loader. I found a dealer in Washington State that says he can change out the parts needed on the loader and install a BH90 for just over $8000.00. The local Bradco backhoe dealer says the BH90 is way to big for the tractor and tells me his 3375 will do everything a BH90 will and costs less then $5000.00. I'm knew to this and would really appreciate any help you can give. thanks

Hi...

I have the BH90 on my L3130... see attachment...

It's not too big for it at all...

Tractor has the LA723 loader... so I dunno about the one on yours being too light... if so... just put a load of somethin' in the loader !

Hi guys,
I have the smaller FEL on my 3130... what's the difference? I thought it was just the physical load size. Is there a difference of the weight it can handle, also, besides just picking up more, such as in the hydraulics?

That's a real nice cab, Dave. Is it seasonal? In other words, does it go on and off easy enough to put it on for winter and take it off when the snow stops?

I'm interested in what you find out about backhoes, Mike. I hope one is in my future.

Freds...

Thanks...

Curtis Cab stays on year-round...

Heater for winter... <30 outside... ~45-50 inside... comfortable...

Summer...
Front & rear glass windows (with wipers) open ~4-5" at the bottom...
Non-glass doors simply lift off their 2 hinge points... (glass panel doors available... ~$500 ?)
Have a 2-speed 8" fan inside...
Roof keeps sun off ya'...
...so... it's better/cooler than without a cab...
... can even work in the rain...

Sweet! I want one. Seems like anytime an emergency crops up and I need the tractor it's raining.

Backhoe subframes rely on having a loader frame to tie into. It may be that the smaller loader just doesn't have compatible frame attachment points for the BH90. Just a guess.

For that much difference in price I would ask that dealer to prove it. Same reach, digging debth, and identical or superior specifications for all the other functions? 4 point VS 3PH hook up?

Sounds to me like the Bradco dealer wants to make a sale...

As mentioned above, perhaps there is a need to have the larger loader on your 3130 so the additional brackets needed can hook to it. I know on my B2910 there are longer than standard brackets that do attach to the loader frame, even though the BL4690 backhoe is a 3PH mount.

From what I can see, the BH90 is a really nice setup. I would have one in a minute if it made sense for me, but with only 3.7 acres it just does not...boo hoo... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

You might also ask that Bradco dealer if he will put in writing that using his hoe on your machine will not void the warrenty...just for kicks. I know his answer already, but don't know if it is true or not...

You might also ask what it would cost to upgrade to the larger loader and buy the BH90 at the same time. In the long run you will thank yourself for having a loader with more capacity. But I guess I should not say what you would do...let me rephrase that to "I would thank myself..." /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Not sure if there is any trade in possibility on a loader or not though...

edit: Forgot to add that I have a BL4690A on my B2910. It is totally fine and a good match. If your Bradco dealer's logic was sound, then my setup would also be a poor match, which it is by far not at all...
