There are all kinds of choices for a 3pt backhoe to fit your 454. Taylor, Bradco, Woods, Nardi or Seagull, the Jinma backhoe etc. Biggest thing is to be sure to get a subframe for your backhoe to take the stress off the tractor. You may have to get one with the backhoe you buy and retro-fit it to your Kama.

Next is to consider the size ... the digging depth and reach. Your tractor is plenty big enough to get a minimum 8' one so you don't have to re-position yourself frequently. I have a Kama 554 with a Nardi (Seagull) 220 and I wish I got a little larger backhoe for it now. Your 454 is (about) he same as the 554 except the hp difference.

I would go with other than Chinese. There are nicer ones made in Korea for only slightly more $.

I recently purchased a LiTW BH7600 and couldn't be happier.
It was an upgrade from a Chinese LW-6 - longer reach, deeper cut, much smoother operation.
The Taylor hoe looks almost identical to the LiTW.
The dealer I purchased my new hoe from would not warranty it because it went on the back of a dozer (like that would make a difference??)

Be careful, and select your dealer as you would your implement.

I've got the same hoe as Bob Rooks, it's a good unit.
Rob's probably right that your tractor could handle a bigger hoe but, I haven't seen any other than the big names in the larger sizes, and they're expensive. Keep an eye out for a used one. There are some deals out there, just not as many as we get on toward spring.
I'm happy I went new and think you'd be very pleased with the LITW hoe.

Thanks for all the replies. I have a company in Oregon that as an LW-8 in stock and willing to sell for just over $4000 with Pump. Ive heard alot about the LW-8 and think I may just buy the LITW.

Anyone know of LITW dealers on the west coast? Thanks..
