Backhoe Backhoe for Ford/NH 1920 ????

I'd like to add a backhoe to my Ford/NH 1920. Had found a great deal on a wallenstein GX700 and was ready to buy when I was told there was no sub frame mount available. My questions are 1) how important is the subframe mount? 2) has anyone had experience with the GX700??? 3) Any reccomendations on other backhoe manufactures??? This is my first tractor and i'd like to do it right

definatly go with the subframe. NH, woods, Rhino all very good. NH 758 would be good match and the 80 series Woods.

Ditto... 3pt hoe's are hard on tractors. If I had to use a 3pt mount one.. I would use it as 'light duty'

Otherwise you might end up with (2) half-tractors.. instead of (1) whole tractor.

I have the NH frame mounted backhoe on my 1920. It works great, have no complaints. My father in law had a Kubota L4350 with an after market 3 Pt. hoe and it was inferior IMHO. Raising the 3Pt. caused it to crush his gas filler pipe. I have heard of people splitting their tractor in two with the 3 Pt. versions as well.

Thanks guys! Will definately go with the subframe. Still not sure if I'll go with the NH 757c or the Woods BH70. Any feedback from current owners???

I dont have a New Holland, but I have a Woods B-70X subframe mount backhoe on my Mahindra, and my friend has a Woods B-80x on his 2120 New holland. That's the model with the newer curved boom. We both absolutely love them. Very heavily built, awesome fit/finish, attractive welds. Definitely Not sorry.

You sure you cant handle the 758 or 80 series?

I ran a 758 on a 2120 for about 15 years. Worked fine. Put hundreds of hours on it with no problems. A 1920 is just slightly smaller than a 2120 so I think a 758 subframe would work fine. A 757 might be a lttle small.
