When I purchased my BX1500, I really wanted a backhoe, but the dealer told me there is not one made and I would have to have one custom made, as Kubota does not recommend any current after market manufacturer's backhoes be installed on the BX1500.
With that, i started researching who fabricated custom backhoes for sub-compact tractors. I found what I was looking for at http://www.importedtractors.com but after waiting 4 months (after I paid him, as he required payment in full before he started), I had to seek legal means to get a refund, as the guy just wouldn't seem to deliver to me, but that's a story for another day.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone has ever installed an after market backhoe on a BX1500, and were there many limitations of use or was it usable in "normal" conditions. One of the issues with the BX1500 is the backhoe needs to be self contains (i.e. PTO pump and tank). If anyone has any info, it would be greatly appreciated.
Oh, and you might ask, why didn't I just upgrade to the BX1830...well, that would mean upgrading the FEL to the LA211, upgrading to the 54" MMM, and an overall tractor upgrade, which would have tallied an additional $3000, which was beyond my budget. I had a hard enough time to convince the wife that we "needed" the BX1500!
