I have to replace my bucket teeth between every 5-10 hours and it getting rather annyoing. My bucket for the 110 is pin on and its teeth are crimp on (no pin) are the green hoes teeth like this as well? I noticed in the pics on the 110s brochere that they too were crimp on, on the quick change but on another 110 setting on a dealer had a qk change bucket with cast pin on teeth. So I am now dizzy from pins and crimps but I have JD looking at warranting my bucket and refunding my money or trading for qk connect coupler and bucket otherwise I will get a custom Hd bucket from online. Any thoughts on your buckets or whatever else?

If you can't get a exact replacement that will wear good, you might do what I did. I bought new shanks and teeth for a industrial backhoe and put them on. The ones that I got were for a MF 50 backhoe and have worked out well, but you could get them for any larger industrial and they should work.

I had a Deere 4400 and broke many teeth and shanks as well. I finally broke the bucket and upgraded to a 49 bucket (which fits the 48 backhoe) which had much beefier teeth andheavy shanks which had a recess to accept the cutting edge. When I recently traded my tractor for a new TLB110, I stressed to the dealer my need to avoid the "tooth problem". I received my machine with a 24" bucket with crimp on teeth and broke a tooth the first day. The dealer lent me a 12" and I broke two teeth in three days. I finally received my 18" with heavy duty pin on teeth. I"m still not happy though. The shanks do not accept the cutting edge and the welding job (done by the dealer) was as bad as it gets. I have 8 brand new crimp on teeth, if your interested. I also have two new shanks with teeth as well.As a matter of interest, I modified an impact chisel(rounded its end) and used an inexpensive air chisel (muffler system removal tool) to peen the crimps on the teeth.

I never tought about the air hammer. Good idea. I have, however, bought a bucket from phoneix equpiment in pennsylvania. They quoted me a price of $860.00 dollars for a 24" bucket which included shipping to MO. I was very impressed. Plus I choose the style tooth and it is way multiplied by about 100 times heavier duty. It weighs in at a scale blowing 220 lbs I can fairly easily pick up the JD pin on 24" I currently have. I could probably pick up the new bucket but not for very long /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif I am still waiting on the dealer to find out if deere is buying this one back. It sounds to me like they want to cut off the shanks and put new teeth on it. I have been hinting that I don't want this bucket any longer but I guess I need to say it outloud. I thought saying I got a different one would convey the message. I would do the same if you contine to have problems. PM me if you need any other info on this new bucket. Plus If I would have known this info when I bought it I would have got the quick attach on the rear. But that was going to be another 1000 bucks for the diff buckets and adapter. Come to find out this place dosen't charge a penny extra for the quick attach and were appauled when I told them the deere prices. I hope deere doesn't let me down on this. I get sick of buying the best on everything yet still have stupid annoying problems.

Yep, the guy that started this thread hasnt been back since 2006. So I doubt you will get anything from him.

Start your own thread. Be sure to include the make and model of the backhoe you are wanting teeth for. And what style of teeth you are wanting. There are litterly hundreds of places that sell teeht just by googling it. and there are about a hundred different styles too.
