That is really cool. Nice pictures.

My wife and I bought 40 acres last November. On the morning we closed the deal, we drove out to the acreage to have one last 'soul searching' episode before signing the contract. We saw two bald eagles fighting over a rabbit.

We took it as a good omen and we can't wait to get moved out there.

Thanks! Believe it is our local female that has been nesting for about 10 years. Shot in the tre is only 40yards from the house.

We have them in my area, and I love seeing them, but people around here sometimes have the opposite reaction -- many prospective land buyers get worried. If the eagles establish a new nesting site, it can really cramp construction schedules, or even shut a job down. I think there is a 600 foot "no construction" radius around nesting sites at certain times of the year.

Very nice photo. You have an excellent opourtunity for great photo's there.
You must be near water.
Eagle photo ops are rare, you could get some really great shots.
I'm jealous. We have lots of eagles here but getting near them is difficult and a federal offense.
Take advantage of that while you can.

We have a local pair that have been nesting near our Hunting camp about a mile from my home. I have a swamp behind the house that he was sitting on. I think there is a dead deer from the Coyotes that he was after. If he comes back I'll post a few more.
