It appears to me, an acknowledge novice, that the B7610 and B2410 are virtually identical-except $2000 in price. What am I missing/
Thanks

whish i could help u out, as i have a b2400 , went to kubotas web site to check out the difference, have not been there in a bit and found they have a brand spanking new site. IMHO the new site stinks. way to much glitz and not a lot of information. mabey i am just an old guy ,am used to things they way they were, but i think this new format for kubota is not good. sorry i could not help. but be DARNED if i could tell the difference. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

The B2410 is the "Delux" tractor while the 7610 is the "standard" tractor... /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

2410 has the following over the 7610 from what I can see:

Larger fuel tank: 6.3 gal vs 5.3

Position control vs quarter-inching valve on the 7610

More 3ph lift: 1300 lb vs 1058

Bi-speed turn option on the 2410 if you want it

Better seat?

Not sure what else...

Worth $2,000 more? I have no idea, but unless there is more I don't see...maybe not...

Thanks for the input. As sometimes happens, one answer creates another question.
What is the difference between a position control valve and an inching valve? What does this valve control?
Thanks again

Position control has a lever with a scale with numbers alongside. You can, at least in theory, always get the same 3ph elevation by moving lever to same point along the scale.

The 1/4" inching valve, OTOH, allows you to move the 3ph up or down in 1/4" increments. Again, in theory, you can achieve the same result as position control by remembering how many increments you want to be from a given reference, (such as full up, full down, or where you were before you made the most recent change). Said to be particularly useful for making small adjustments when mounting attachments.

Much debate here as to which is better and the consensus seems to be that it depends upon your intended application.

Hope this helps

i too was debating on which of these 2 to buy. last week i finally decided the extra couple grand was not worth it and took the plunge on a 7610.

good luck on your search.
