B7610 high idle speed?

How fast are other B7610's running on high idle no load? Dealer came out today and turned ours up to 2,800 from 2,650.

It's a set point throttle. I assume you mean the dealer set the fast throttle position higher. My B7610 went from a full throttle speed of 2600 rpm to 2700 rpm as the tractor broke in. I only use the upper speed limit when doing some serious loader work or lengthy backhoe efforts (it speeds up the cycle time). Even then I ususlly don't set it at the hard stop limit, I pick the PTO speed point, which is slightly below 2600 rpm.

Mine does not yet achieve PTO RPM, the dealer told me it would improve as the engine broke in. I currently only have 7 hrs on it.

Yes your right about the fast throttle. Most of the work we do with the tractor requires pto operation at pto speed. I run it with the throttle against the upper stop 80% of the time. I noticed no gain in no load rpm from the time it was new tell the dealer change in rpm. It ran 2650 no load consistently from new. The dealer is trying to correct my complaints about not being able to hold pto speed under loads that should be easy for the tractor.

With 50.7 hours on the machine, I'm at 2750 RPM on my B7610 at the hard stop limit. I've never used the tractor for anything at that RPM. I use it at PTO speed.
