I am considering trading my BX1800 for either a B7510 or B7610. I need a machine with a little more ground clearance and capability.

The difference between the B7510 and B7610 is about 3 Hp and approximately $900. I run a 48 in tiller, 4 foot bruch hog, rear blade, stone rack and 60 in mower. Any opinions on the value of the B7610 over the B7510?

Also, I am also considering switching from a mid-mount mower to a RFM. But I would still need to use the RFM to mow the yard around the house (about 3/4 arce with trees). Any opinions on how a RFM would work in this scenario?

Lastly, does anyone know what I should expect for trade-in value on my BX1800 with loader and mid-mount mower? It is 3 years old and has about 300 hours on it.

Thanks,
Dascro

I have a B7500 and my uses are pretty similar to yours. I have never found myself obviously in need of more horsepower, but still I would spend the extra money for more. I don't think you will be disappointed and over time the $950 is nothing. If you can afford it, go for it.

i was dead set on buying a new b7610 when i found a good deal on a b7510.
i did not think the 7510 would have enough power. i was wrong.

Dascro,
Unless you come across a great deal on a B7510 like DVR did, get the B7610. If you're going to go bigger, then go BIG! It'll cost you a pretty penny to upgrade from the too small BX1800. You don't want to be kicking yourself over it a year from now.

Besides that, I've heard that, depending on the ground, tillers can work a small tractor pretty hard. The 3HP increase from B7510 to B7610 is nearly a 15% increase. When you're working the tiller to its limits, I think you will notice the extra power. The larger displacement B7610 engine will deliver more torque as well.

I have a B7610 (see below) and my dad has a B7510 (MMM and blade only). For grass cutting with my 60" rear mount rear discharge RFM the extra hp of the B7610 will help for tall grass. The B7610 will also take the larger LA352 FEL (50" wide) the B7510 won't take. I have been using my 5' box scraper to remove top soil for a rinding ring without any problem. The rear 3 point lift capacity is the same.

From the Kubota literature B7610 vs B7510
Option for bigger FEL
Rated for 72" RFM vs 60" max
12" max. Auger for PHD vs 9" mx.
Larger Tiller

For $900 go bigger but the larger FEL will cost more. If you can't swing the extra bucks don't worry go with the B7510. it ill just take alittle longer to do the job. I would have bought a B2630 or B3030 if I could.

Thanks for all the helpful insight and information. I appreciate it.

I was at the dealer today and asked them to work up prices on both the B7610 and B7510 each equiped with a loader and RFM. I'll see where that puts me price-wise. I want the extra Hp of B7610 and am hoping I don't get raked over the coals too bad on my BX1800.

both tractors have 2 fel options. make sure you get the larger one.
the 7510 will take a la272 or la302.

Does anyone have any recent experience that would give me an idea of what I could expect for a trade-in value for my BX1800 with FEL and MMM?

Any info would be appreciated.

P.S. I think I should have started this topic in the "Buying/Pricing" Forum. Sorry, my bad.

I bet you will be better off consigning it out at the Kabota dealer rather than trading it out. Ask them about it. At least you'll get all the Kabota traffic and its an easy $500 for them
