Hello folks! I am pricing and would love to buy a B7500HSD with either a 54" MMM or a rear finishing mower. Also would like to get rear tiller so I can work up my vegetable garden. If I can sell my 8N and some of its equipment I'll be able to swing it. My question for users is which mower to buy? I've gotten some conflicting info on how easy/how much time it takes to remove/install the MMM. I mow about 1.5 - 2 acres now and also want to continue my annual vegetable gardening. Most of my use would be for mowing. Any advice is welcome. Thanks!

Hi Steve. A lot depends on your lawn, if you have a lot of trees and such. I have a B7500 with a RFM and it cuts beautiful. Easy on, easy off. For mowing corners, I simply back up. There are a lot of posts on this topic in the "Attachments" forum. Most are not satisfied with the MMM on the B7500 or B2410 (leaves ruts and not the easiest to adjust or remove). However on the BX2200, the MMM is supposed to be great. You may want to look at a BX2200. Might be the best compromise for your tasks and you save some $$$. If you register, you can search the forums. You also may want to check out Carver Equipment in Dunn, NC for some pricing.
Good luck.

Steve, my first tractor had a MMM. It was a Cub Lowboy, and the same rockshafts that raised/lowered the mower also raised/lowered the front-mounted blade. Swapping those implements drove me to buy a 3PH finish mower the for the second tractor (Ford 1210). When it came time to buy the B7500, a 3PH mower was chosen. This is an area where personal preferences rule. I love the 3PH setup with a right-side discharge. You can cut under low trees and bushes by swinging it under them. It's handy for "raking" leaves. The next guy will tell you (or mebbe already has, since I type so slow) that a MMM is THE way to go. By the way, I'd get a 60" regardless of mid or rear mount...................chim
