I am looking for comments from anyone who has recently purchased either a B7500 or B2410. How it was equiped, what accessories bought, and how it has performed? I am trying to decide if the B2410 is worth the price difference of $2,000.

I am also considering a B7500, but haven't seen one yet, local dealers don't have any yet. Going this evening to dealer 50 miles away that has one and I want to compare to B2100 or B2400 side by side. The specs indicate that the B7500 is almost identical to the old B2100. Same engine and deminsions, but no position control and weight is less. Since I plan to use for 80-90% finish mowing, I think the B7500 is probably OK, especially since it is much lower in cost.
Has anyone made a good side by side comparison that can give me any good advise? Ready to buy.

Well, I did it. Picked up my new B7500 Saturday morning. I compared the B7500 side by side with 2 B2400s he had in stock with a tape measure. All deminsions and sizes looked the same. I got the B7500HSD w/ 4WD and PS and R4 tires for $9600 cash. I mowed with woods RM-59 Saturday afternoon and the tractor handles it well. I think it has more power than my old Ferguson TO-30(like a 8N Ford) and is a lot easier to drive. The grandkids love it too.

Congatulations! I am looking at a used Woods RM59 for my 1700, so if the 7500 can handle it most likely mine can too. Is it easy to hook up? Any complaints?

Be careful when buying the RM59. They were made in reverse rotation for the B6000 which I have and also used a different size pto coupler. The performance should be adequate for the B1700. I had the gearbox style Woods on a B1750 that was great. The B6000 handles the RM59 barely ok but only has 12.5 horse power.
If you want smooth mowing and much, much better grass discharge, look for the newer style mower with 4 wheels and a gearbox drive--you will see a huge difference!

Thanks for the input. All I need is something to do the horse pastures a couple of times a year (rest of the property is too hilly for the 1700), so maybe i would be better off with a bushhog new for about what they want for the used RM59

For tall grass, or any brush, the bush hog type mower will work better. The RM-59 is a good heavv duty finish mower and it will mow your pasture if you keep it short. Thick tall grass will make the belts slip and wear it out too fast.
I also think the new gear models with the front wheels (mine has only rear wheels) are better and will mow better over uneven ground. The skids on the ends of mine sometimes skin the ground when it is uneven, although it generally does a good job of finish mowing.
I may. in the future, get a 60" belly mower, since it would be easier to see and mow around my many trees and other things. Wish they didn't cost $2000 though.

WH BOB,
I just went through the same decisions between a B7500, a B2150, a B2400, and a B2410. I taked to alot of people, looked at all the machines and even wrote to Kubota, and the same old questioned came up, $2000 difference. My main use will also be finish mowing, but we occasional get snow and I have a 1400 ft driveway and I'm not shoveling it anymore....last year convinced me, I'm getting a tractor. I also need to do some major landscaping and boxscrape my driveway....thus I was edging toward the 24HP, didn't want to be limit myself for $2000. I also was going to get a loader and 60" belly mower and the box scraper.
As with most of us, the wife felt I was going overboard, but when I went to look at a B2150, she came along ( the outlet mall were just down the road from the tractor dealer). The dealer was nice and we were able to drive a B7500, a B2410, and the B2150. Also sat on a B2100, but I felt cramped on it ( I'm 6'1", 225 lbs), I think its the same size as the B7500, but it just felt tight on leg space....maybe the seat wasn't pushed back. I really could tell the difference in the power steering on the B2410, it was one finger steering, but the transmission seemed to whine, but I liked it. The B2150 was larger, smoother, and really felt much larger and more solid, and was was my solid first choice...but was $1400 more than the B7500. Then the wife decided she wanted to drive them since she's going to help do the mowing (huh...I can't remember when she lasted mowed).
She jumped up on them and roared off down the parking lot, wheeled back in, looked them over ( the same woman who said I was over buying), thought for a second and told the dealer we'll take the big one. Gotta love this woman....I'm now the proud owner of a brand new B2150 and loving life. It handles the box scraping of the driveway with ease and I'm thinking about throwing away my wheelbarrow. I'm pleased I when for the extra size and horsepower, especially with all the gravel and dirt I have to move.Hope this doesn't add to the confusion, but I'm very please with the tractor....but it is new and my first tractor. I'll attempt to paste on the letter from Kubota in hopes that it might be helpful....good luck.

Thank you for your inquiry to Kubota. The Sales Department Product Manager responded to try to help you out:

Personal preference will be your biggest factor. These are all great compact tractors, and they each offer slightly different amenities and performance.

The B2400 is similar to the B7500 as far as chassis and handling, but has 4 more horsepower. If you feel you would prefer, need or desire more power, the B2400 may be for you. The chassis size, handling, tire combinations are the same for the B7500 and B2400. The B7500 is attractively priced but it has slightly different styling, and a little smaller fuel tank than the B2400.

As far as the B2150, it has a larger frame, with a 3 speed transmission, larger tires and heavier weight. The four cylinder engine has more cubic inch displacement and is rated at 24 engine horsepower. The B2150 will have increased performance if that's what you desire. Compared to the B2400, there are performance benefits with the B2150 with the same horsepower. The 3 speed transmission provides increased gear reduction in low for power, medium for general applications and high for faster travel speeds. The B2150 is 3 mph faster than the B2400, if transport speeds are part of your purchasing requirements.

As far as the loader, each tractor's loader is different. Your loader requirements may choose the right tractor for you. The B2150's is the largest having the highest lift capacity and lift height, next the B2400's loader then the B7500. Please visit with your dealer for the specifications of each loader. I am sure knowing the loader specifications and applying them to your application will help you decide on the model that best fits your needs.

If you plan on heavy boxscraper use, the B2150 will have the greatest pulling power for this type of application. Power here is enhanced from the larger tires, and 3 speed transmission.

If you to view our website, you may find the type of specifications there to help you, however the B2150 information you will need to get from your local dealer. You apparently have a dealer with a B2150. I say this because the B2150 has been discontinued and is now officially replaced with the B2710. The B2710HSD has 27 hp, and is most similar to the B2410. The specifications and photos of it can be found on the website. We do not have too many earlier models on the site yet.

If you desire more information on the B2150, please cover it with the dealer. The B2150 was just updated with different features, not changed for any problems. Your dealer may be able to get you a good price on that tractor.

I hope this helps a little.

Thank you for being a Kubota customer.
