Are any of you guys running a rotary tiller with your B7500? What size are you using? I am about to purchase one for my B7500 and am looking for a size and manufacturer recommendation.
Just purchased a First Choice 48" tiller for my B7500; don't have it yet though, so can't give you any opinions.
I purchased it because it was the cheapest new one I could find (a little under $1,000) and seems to have a good reputation (based on reviews here at TBN).
Purchased it though Carver; local shops were all $1,800 +, which was much more that I was willing to spend.
I figured that, since I already have the tractor, I'd rather spend $1,000 on a 3 pt tiller than spend $1,000 on a walk behind one that would require alot of manual effort.
I have a BX2200 and went with the First Choice 48 inch tiller with a slip clutch from www.sweettractor.com, was $1078 including shipping. The trucker had a lift gate on the 18 wheeler, made getting it off the truck a snap. I am very happy with the tiller. I checked them all out and for the money, I think I got a good deal. Tilled and planted the garden with a cover crop of buckwheat, was growing real nice until the frost hit last night! Guess I will have to redo what I did a few weeks ago! Oh well will just have to get the tiller working again, nothing like seat time!
I believe it does, but only a few inches. I have not used it since the 48" covers my tires. They also have a 57" unit for $1099 with a slip clutch, take a look at the sweet tractor web site, or call Ken , nice guy.
I was at the rental store today, and they had a King Kutter on a NH. I asked how happy they were the unit and was told it does a great job and they were happy with the heavy duty construction.
Is gear drive better than chain drive when a slip clutch is used? Another consideration of mine is the availablity of replacement tines. I was thinking about a 48 to 50 inch tiller for my B7500.

I went to our local Tractor Supply Store today and they quoted me $999.00 for a 48" King Kutter tiller. Sounds like a good price. It also sounds like King Kuttter is build very well. What do you guys think??
Bx2200 June 2001 traded for BX22 March 2002 Bobcat 863
I also was quoted a price for the King Kutter 48" from TSC. The 48" is specal order and they had no info on it. Another local farm store had one in stock and it was cheaper. It also was KK yellow and not TSC red. Unit has 6 bladed tines, gear drive, slip clutch. The 3pt on 48" is offset permanently to cover right wheel track. I was unable to find what the unit weighs. KK web site only lists a shipping weight of 600#, Email to KK got no reply. The 50" Land Pride I had been looking at only weighs 363#. I have a Bx22 and any thing over 400# is over Kubota's specs. If anyone knows what the KK weighs or has been using one on a Bx I'd like to know. Thanks
