Someone posted a link to sales numbers recently that showed August as one of the slowest months for mowing-type small tractors. I have noticed at least two dealers recently (one on equipmenttraderonline.com) reduced their prices advertising Turf Specials at $9999. including the RCK60B75B deck. Prices I received not long ago put a 60” deck at $1900 (think that was for RCK6024B) and $2600 for LA302 loader. If one can buy a NEW
B7510 with loader for $12,599, then adding $1900 (for a 60” deck) to the “Buy It Now” E-Bay 7500 price makes it exactly the same as a new 7510. At least that 7500 ad appears legit. There has been a lot of scam one day ads on e-bay with low “buy now” prices and free shipping. I assume those ads are an attempt to get people to wire cash? I wish those guys would get thrown in jail that run those ads, makes it hard to tell a real ad from a con. You’ll see the same pictures run over and over with different e-mail addresses and locations. Suppose I’m a bit picky on price because we always used to buy at auction for less than half retail. I recently saw a
M7500 in nice shape sell in my town at auction for $3000. Where are the
B2410’s at auction.
Hey, but check out the
B7610 for Buy-It-Now of $3500. free shipping....such a deal. Ha! I wrote to one of these guys a few days ago pointing out I had seen the pictures in other ads, within an hour of my e-mail the ad was gone.
I’ve narrowed my search to
B7510/7610/2410 or possibly JD2210. JD is supposed to reveal a new model replacement for the 2210 this month so I’m seeing on the JD thread, so no doubt I’ll wait and see. Also looking at ZTR’s like Ferris/Kubota/Hustler etc. If I could find a REASONABLY priced
B2410 in Fla I would consider it. I’ve found a bunch of them out of state and that may be an option. Thought I would like the JD4110 and test drove one this weekend, was very disappointed in how rough the engine was through the frame and how it sounded, though I much prefer the seating and pedals on the JD’s. The 2210 and 4110 are supposedly the same engine, 2210 revving higher, but the 2210 was silky smooth compared to the 4110. I cannot fully account for why other than rubber isolation perhaps, but even the sound on the 4110 was not one of a happy engine to my ear, which turns me back toward Kubota even more so. Not sure I can live with the smaller tires of the 2210 over bumps, and the
BX2230 makes me feel like my knees are too close to the steering wheel. Suppose I can build my own pedal arrangement and cruise control as well as change the seat easy enough on a Kubota if I don’t like them.
