Tractor
B7500 HST
Hope someone can help me, I picked up my first real tractor yesterday a B7500 with just 60 hours it looks like the previous owner barely used it. Anyway after trailering it the 80 miles home I noticed as I was going over it again the right rear wheel did not have the bolt or cotters going through the wheel hub on the inside of the wheel like the left side did. I am assuming that it must have loosened and fell out or is this only on the left wheel of the machine? These are the bolts etc. that enable you to widen the rear wheels. One other thing the owners manual shows agrease fitting on the top link but there isn't one there ? Any help would be much appreciated, I apologize about the lengthy thread. Thanks

Install bolt on the axle before you drive it around, it is for wheel position. Also these bolts need to be re-tighten fairly regularly since they will work loose.

If the top link is not grey like the rest of the grey parts of the tractor then it may not be the factory top link.

Top link looks like factory match, I'm sure that the bolt (hub) was missing when I picked it up. I just saw a photo of a B7500 in another thread and it did have bolts on both sides. Any recommendation where to buy these Kubota parts? thanks

On the bolt just pull the L/H side and go to TSC or parts house and match it up to a grade 8 bolt.
The top link doesn't need the grease fitting, just unscrew and grease threads by hand and re-assemble.

Welcome aboard.I hope you enjoy yours as much as I have mine.I've thought of trading mine for a BX series but I think I will keep what I have. I have 237hrs on mine.Does yours have a FEL and any other equipment?

Hi Steuben-
There is more to these parts than just a bolt and a nut. The bolt goes thru 2 cylinder shaped parts inside the hub that have a taper on them on one end that sort of grabs and squeezes the axle. Kubota calls them cotters. Make sure you still have these parts. If they are gone too, you will most likely have to get these at a Kubota dealer. I would not use the tractor until you have thse parts properly in place.
Congrats on the B7500, it is a great machine.

Thanks Joe, yes I saw the cotters in the owners manual already ordered from the local Kubota dealer about $20. for all the parts. Thanks again
