Kubota B7500
Has anybody ordered and installed the Kubota rear light kit for the B7500. It is a single light I believe. I ordered one with my new B7500, but I am wondering if it is a nice installation (brackets, etc, directions for wiring, etc.), or if it will just be an expensive form of a Fleet Farm halogen light that has to be butchered in. The dealer had never sold one for a B7500, so he was uncertain. Also, I have a folding ROPS, so location will be important.

Hi Tex, Bought my new b7500 last summer with rear work light installed as part of the deal. I also have folding rops. My light has a right angle bracket that mates with rear directional light bracket. It really looks factory. It also has on/off switch on back of light housing. It does not get in way of rops or tractor operation.

I've never gone that route. I'd be interested in your experience if you go that way. However, for my purposes, I'd probably be happy getting and installing my own kit from purchased parts. Not expensive or difficult.

Jethro, thanks for the info! I was a bit worried, but it sounds like it was worth the extra money to get the factory light. Where did the light tap into the wiring, and is the wiring tidy and neat/hidden? Also, very importantly, do you feel the rear light would give you ample light to blow snow with a rear blower in the winter?

Tex, I will investigate the wiring for you this weekend and get back to you with more info. The light housing does have numbers on it. It also rotates left and right plus up and down. I have never used the light yet as I am using all front implements so far. I would expect it would be perfect for a rear snowblower. If one wasn't enough I would mount two. I will write again soon. I am very busy until Sunday.

When I investigated the wiring harness on the rear flashers on my L3410, thinking I could tap into such for 2 rear lights (usual 55 watt white fog lights - wide beam - from an automotive store), I was not impressed. If you install 1 light, you're probably OK, but if you really want to flood the area behind you with light, run a #10 gauge wire or similar from the battery. It is real efficient, as you can mount the rear fogs, and 2 further lights pointing foward, on the ROPS if you can accept having all lights on at the same time, or if not then a switch box or 3 way switch is needed (I just ran 2 wires from the battery - just as easy as stringing 1 wire). There are some very good threads about lighting, and the alternator capabilities of various Kubotas (I now have 4 additional lights, at 55 watts each, plus have switched out the 35 bulbs in the factory stock front lights for 55 watt ones - & I'm still well within alternator specs). Sure helps when I get off work late, but need to get in some mowing.

Hi Tex, I'm back finally. Sounds like Cisco has done his homework on how many lights are safe without extra wiring. I can only tell you that the wiring harness going to my right directional has 2 extra wires coming out of it. A red wire with blue stripe for power to work light and a black wire with a crimped eye on it doing nothing. The wires are a heavier gauge than directional lights. I don't know if they are factory installed or were done at dealers. However the bracket that holds the worklight is the exact same type bracket the holds directional light only turned upside down which makes for a very sanitary looking mount. The work light is physically the same size as directional light and gives off alot of light. Toggle switch is mounted beside work light on bracket. Can't help you much more than this without tearing apart the wiring harness and I guess I won't go there. Good Luck. Oh, the numbers on the back of work light are 1105 with no other labels????????? Thanks for all the help everyone. I'm going to see how the light kit from the dealer looks. If I need more light, I'll take a look at some of your suggestions.
