Hi everyone. A new member here who needs a little help. The little lady and I recently built a new home on 3 acres on the Mississippi River Delta. Flat, sandy loam, no trees, no grass, only recent years soy bean stobs sticking up in the air. We knew we were gonna need a tractor to get the property in shape, but neither of us had any idea there were so daggone many makes and models out there. We talked to a lot of folks who own Kubota, JD, Case, NH and all seemed satisified with their decision. I'm looking at the subcompacts and ran across a deal in Arkansas I need your opinion on. Seems they have an overstock of the Kubota B7500 and offered me a "deal" on a 7500 package. Includes the B7500HSD, Woods 60" finish mower, Woods 48" box blade, LA272 FEL all on a 16" trailer for $14,900.00. Is this reasonable pricing for this package? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I got a bid on a B7800HST last summer. No loader, no implements, no nothing, just the tractor. $11,800 + tax. I asked twice. The dealer would not budge.

I bought a New Holland TC24D for $10,600, delivered.

I have previously purchased, and still use a White riding mower, a Cub Cadet garden tractor and a Kubota B2910 from the Kubota dealer. When the owner called me to ask when I wanted the tractor delivered, I told him the sales rep wouldn't budge on the price and the price was too high. The owner was shocked I bought the New Holland, but understood. He said they are not dealing to much on the Kubotas because the demand is strong and he is the only dealer in the area. I'm looking at replacing the Cub Cadet this year, thinking of another New Holland!!!

Hey there Hogwild. I'm an amatuer in search of a Kubota..... probably a 7800. From what I've seen the package you are describing is reasonable..... but what do I know. There are so many variables and possibilities.

Years ago my now ex-wife and I lived outside of Friars Point..... home of Conway Twitty if I remember. I had a propane powered MF Super-90 that I used to tear up five acres with. Twenty years later with more sanity and more money I'm also shopping and understand your situation.

Last week I got a price of $15,300 for a B7510HSD with a LA302 FEL with tooth bar and a 60” MMM. The tooth bar was $228.00. Your BB should not be any more than $400.00. The LA 302 FEL is about $250.00 to $300.00 dollars more than a LA272 so I think we are taking comparable set ups except for the mower. Why a Woods mower. Is it a 3PH mower? If so that should be something like a $1000.00 dollars less. Now the 7510 has quarter inching on the 3PH and a better seat. I think you should get a price for a B7510 just for the quarter inching on the 3PH. I know prices vary by region but I don’t think your getting a very special price.

Check out Fiser Tractor web site. They are over by Little Rock and you might be able to use their pricing info as leverage to get a better deal from your local guy. Take a look at their package deals.

Overstocked on 7500. I guess if they have any they are overstocked. They were improved (slightly) to get the 7510.

I was quoted $13930 on a 7510, FEL and 60"MMM. The 7500 doesn't have the 1/4 incher that the 7510 has. From what I here and thru minimul experience that is a factor expecially when you have a boxblade (or almost anything on the 3pt). Without the 1/4 incher (or position control on the larger tractors) it can be difficult to set the 3pt at the right hieght for the implement/load on ractor.

You had mentioned a package. Do you need the trailer? If you do get it. If you don't why bother?

Why buy new when the used market is taking such huge depreciation? I've seen many nice looking units selling at super prices, I reccomend looking at a year or two year old model.

Howdy hogwild, I'm kind of new too. Welcome though.
Not sure what the diff's are between 7500 and 7510, I know there are some, look into it. Get the LA302 loader over the LA272 without a doubt. First of all it has a nice brush guard assembly that the 272 doesn't have. Bit more capacity as well.

My numbers were:
7510 HSD, foldable ROPS=$9500
LA302 FEL =$2681
Rankin 48" box blade=$550
ballast box=$160
I was $14000 out the door.

The Rankin box was not heavy-duty as we had agreed and I took it back with ballast box for refund. Got a Bush Hog SX480. Better price also, $449. Great box blade, heavy duty, perfect weight as well for rear ballast. I am now in the final stages of a rear wheel weight assembly, should be cool. If you end up with an appropriate CUT (most will be), I can send you info on it.

I foghat to mention that we are rapidly approaching the time of the season when it is not so hard for dealers to sell these machines. Price negotiating can be seasonal.

good luck
