I am looking to buy a B7500 and I have a price of $12,000 which includes a 60" mid mount mower, HST, and 4WD. Is this any good for the Houston area? Thanks in advance.

jtb,

Don't know anything about the Houston area except that it Compaq's headquarters.

However, the list price on a B7500HSD is $11,800, and MMM go for roughly $1500 (or so). That puts the retail for your combo over $13K, so I would call it decent. Is that out the door? How much for tax, title, & dealer prep?

Ashland, Ky I paid $13,850 for my B7500 HST with 60" Kubota MMM and Woods 1006 FEL. This was after a dealer 30 miles away quoted me the same setup but a Kubota FEL (the small one) for $14,200. Both "said" they are selling me the FEL and MMM at dealer cost because I bought the tractor from them.
This was the end of May/first of June 2001.

I had these quotes:
Roach Kubota:
7500 @ $9995 and LA302 @ $2740
Sealy Tractor:
7500 and FEL @ $12650

Where did you get your price?
I ended up with a B2400 from Roach

Check with Shirley at WOWCO in Baytown. 281-383-3100. They had the best prices when I bought my L3710 last year.

I would try Landsdown Mooney or something like that, ask for Hunter.. Wowco I never bought anything there but they were higher and I have stopped by there just to find myself by myself with no one to help.. Just didnt like it, ended up calling and getting price from them. I think they would sell a hydro (wowco) cheaper though. Any way there are lots of landsdown mooney places all over Houston..

What dealer did you buy from? I got a quote from State Equipment in Charleston, WV for almost $1000 less (on a BX2200) than from Ricer in Lucasville, OH.

Ive also checked with the dealer in Ashland and in Milton and State Equipment beats their prices by at least $500.

After looking at the BX2200, and asking lots of questions about various implements, I have decided to get something bigger, so my price gathering has started anew.

I live in Kenova BTW...so we are almost neighbors /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

I got mine at Davis in Ashland. I priced there first then checked with Jividen's in Gallipolis. I took tje Jividen's price to Davis's and they got the books down and beat the price.
I was really impressed with how Davis took the time to tell me what I needed instead of what I thought I wanted.
I had planned on a standard and Davis said if I planned to mow with the B7500 the HST would be the best/fastest way to go. I asked about the Kubota loader and he said he could sell me the 1006 Woods cheaper and he said it was bigger/stronger unit (and yes it's Bota orange). I was thinking 3pt finish mower and they said MMM was the again the best way to go if the mowing was the primary use.
The delivered one to my house and I mowed all over for 45 minutes and they told me to keep on mowing. While the Davis rep was at my house I asked about bush hogging our hillside off with the B7500 and he said with a 4' cutter and in 4 wheel drive it'd have no problems with that at all.
I live in Ashland. 98.9 FM WSIP Sundays 8pm-12am and you can hear me do my bluegrass radio program and I'm a regular at the Mountaineer Opry House in Milton.

Thought I knew that name/handle! /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif I am a BIG fan of bluegrass music and have seen you Mountaineer Opry several times, but never had the gumption to say hi. You are a big celebrity there you know /w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif.

Ill check Davis again, they seemed pretty nice if a little disorganized. Thanks for the info.

jtb,

I paid $12,600 for B7500 HST and 60" MMM. (RCK60-24B). This was before taxes. This was in Washington state. $12,000 looks pretty good to me. I did get two Kubota hats throw in but I don't thinkl they were worth $300 apiece.
