Hi,
I was mowing backwards (down a hill) and didn't realize the sway bar turnbuckle had disconnected. The sway bar went into a hole as I was backing up. The bar ended up vertical in the ground.
The problem is the connecting rod that goes between the sway bar and the MMM bent into the hydraulic filter and the forward/reverse pedal. The tractor was trying to go near full speed but didn't move since the bar was stuck in the ground.
The filter case was bent enough to dump the fluid.
I turned off the engine about 15 seconds after the pedal was stuck. Fluid continued to run out for 2-3 minutes after the engine was stopped.
The tractor is stuck in my yard while I wait for a new connector rod to arrive.
I'd appreciate any and all advice about how to get the tractor back in working order.
I'm thinking about these steps:
1) Replace filter
2) Add SUDT
3) Replace connector rod
4) Start engine
5) Turn the wheel all the way to the left tol bleed the air. (?)
