Could someone please help me locate this?
My friend's tractor but he always has service done. Working a long way from such now so need to check in the field. I think he got a bad batch of diesel.
The fuel filter on the B7500 is on the right side of the tractor above and behind the right front wheel, and just below the engine side cover. The filter element is inside a clear plastic bowl. The bowl unscrews in a counterclockwise direction. The fuel flow shuts off automatically when the bowl is removed, HOWEVER the fuel tank should be less than 1/2 full for flow to stop. You need to unscrew the bowl quickly. Kubota says, "This job should not be done in the field, but in a clean place." Also be careful of the O-rings and their locations. There is a small o-ring on top of the center of the element and a larger o-ring around the top outer edge of the filter. I usually use a small blade screwdriver or needle nose pliers to pull the element out of the bowl. Do not twist the element, as it slides into grooves in the bowl. The o-rings must be purchased separately from the filter. Rinse the bowl and element with kerosene. Keep clean. Reassemble carefully and screw bowl back on quickly. You may have to bleed the fuel system after servicing the fuel filter.
Great details & friend will place carpeting under the work area just in case one of the O-rings become dislodged so it can be found readily. The carpet will also absorb any fuel spillage.

Refill the bowl/filter with clean diesel and slowly screw it back in place, the machine should start right up with one small sputter. Rubber gloves for this procedure are a good idea!
MtnVision - How about an update on your friend's B7500? Did you get it running OK? Was it bad fuel, the fuel filter, or something else? We all learn from good feedback.
