I have a B7500 and I cannot figure out how to make the landscape bucket float. If it cannot be made to float, can it be upgraded? My dealer is unable to tell me.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

What is a 'landscape bucket'? Are you refering to a front end loader bucket, or a box blade.

If your just talking about the FEL bucket then you just push up on the FEL handle till it goes into a detent, you can still curl the bucket.

A friend of mine has a B7510 that's a couple of years old. He didn't even know his loader had float capability. When he actually found out that his loader DID have float capability, he tried it, but it didn't work. It turned out that since he'd never used it, the parts that make the loader float had become stuck somehow. He called his dealer, and the dealer just had him take off a couple of parts and shoot some penetrating oil in there (something about some balls that should move but had become stuck??).

Sorry I'm light on the details. Just that you should know that even if your loader is capable of floating, it may be stuck like his was since it was never used.

You need a different dealer if they can't help with a simple operation question.

Ok .. I'm a bit confused .. let me try a second time.

The machine is a B7500HSD ..

It has a Landpride landscape box (not bucket .. my goof) attached.
I want it to float at a set depth.

By float I mean I want to set it so that it remains at a set depth (call it 2") to trim off the indentations and hills. The objective is to end up with a relative flat surface that I can rework into lawn.

There is no position for the three point hitch marked as "float" .. only up down and neutral. Neutral means that it is not going up or down.

When I drive the box remains in the same fixed position, therefore digs in or skips over based on the movement of the front wheels.

It is behaving as designed. You need to OPERATE the rear blade or put some type of gage wheels on it.

Pardon my confusion. If I want to level an area (the moles have made a mess over the last 10 years) the landscape box is not the way to go?

What I did in despair on one very large area was to rig a 10' 4X10 on chains and drag it around to level the area. I'm now working a smaller area and wondering how to use the landscape box.

Have you tried to seach this site? I think this has been discussed a few times. Basicly you need to raise and lower the box blade as your wheels travel up and down to try and maintain a level cut. It may take several passes as each pass should be smoother than the previous one.
