B7500 HST
I hope you knowledgeable tractor folks will oblige one more newbie,(first real tractor) I have a chance to buy a used B7500 w/ 302FEL and low hours for a good price. Would this tractor be enough for a 35 acre piece that is a small hunting base camp? it would be used to mow maybe 2 1/2 acres, maintain some trails, haul firewood from the woods, rototill 1/4 acre food plots and maintain a dirt driveway. I would purchase a rototiller, back blade and a rear mower. I would appreciate any recommendations as far as what implements would work well with this machine and your opinions about the machine. Thanks for the help. By the way the camp is in the Southern Tier of NY.

That is a nice set up for what you want to do. You will need to buy a rotary cutter for trail maintenence.

IF the price is good enough, go for it! if after a year you think you need larger tractor you can always get something larger and not lose $$$ on the resale of the b7500

I have a B7500 HSD which is pushing 700 hours (bought new in 2003). It has the LA302 FEL and 60" MMM. I use it to mow 2+ acres of finished lawn, 5 acres of horse pasture and 2-3 acres of meadow (former hay field). When used to mow the pasture, it is also pulling a 4' wide chain harrow. In the winter, the FEL and a 6' rear blade take care of driveway snow removal chores. It also pulls a I-beam drag on 2 paddocks and has clamp-on bucket forks for misc. lifting. This tractor has done everything that I have asked it to do. I would buy it again for the same requirements.

I'd go for it. Check tractorhouse.com for pricing

I have a B7800 for 20 acres of perhaps similar terrain but I am sure I could have made due with a B7500...at the right price.

It will do the job. In some cases you may need patience and in others use innovative methods when brute strength is called for.

Our B7100 HST does much the same type of work you have in mind.:D

I would suggest you take a look at the attached PDF's implement section for the B7510 and then go to your closet Tractor Supply Company Store and buy the TSC brands in the size reccomneded for your B7500
