B7500 Fenders (plastic)?

I am in the process of purchasing a B7500 HSD from Carver in NC. This only after another deal fell through due to problems getting any other tire than what was on the tractor already. My question involves the fenders of the B7500. The first tractor I dealt on had entirely metal rear fenders while two others of the same type seen at two different dealerships seem to have a black plastic piece for the levers to poke through. Can anyone tell me what the difference in these tractors is. Could the one without the plastic had been an older model as the sales literature shows the plastic pieces? The people at Carver can only remember them being plastic much like the BX2200. Could the origonal dealer I dealt with have been trying to sell me an older model without telling me? Paranoia.......maybe.

Anyway, I had a great purchase experience with Carver and am looking forward to taking delivery of my new B7500 with 302 FEL, 60" deck and grass catcher system!!!

This is a great site and I can't tell you all how much it helped in my purchase decision. I only wish there were one for Automobiles also!!!

The 7500 I looked at about three weeks ago had plastic fenders, just as the 2001 literature states. However, I believe Glueguy's tractor has metal fenders, and it is a 2000 model. Glueguy?

I was afraid that it wasn't the current model year. Not that I mind getting a leftover but I would like to know that when dealing on price. I guess it was just as well that they would offer nothing concerning the type of tires I wanted. It just seems a little odd that when I showed some confusion at Carver concerning tire selection I was told to pick one and if I didn't like them they would swap them for another type. I guess that's the difference between high volume and low volume dealerships.

I didn't realize I needed to register....I'm all set now!!

Just wanted to say welcome aboard. And also I have a 2001 B7500 and mine has the plastic over the metal fenders. Have fun and enjoy that new machine when you get it in./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

i have a 2001 7500hsd it has metal fenders with plastic covers. a friend of mine has a 2000 model 7500 and it has the same fenders.

Whichever it is, the fenders are metal with plastic covers for the levers. Only kind I've ever seen for the 2000/2001.
