B7500 \"Every 2 years\" Questions

My B7500 is almost due for 400 hour service and is due for "every 2 years" items. The manual calls for REPLACEMENT of the radiator hose & clamp, fuel line (emission critical) and intake air line (emission critical, "replace only if necessary"). Have you gentlemen actually been replacing these parts every 2 years? This is my 1st CUT, but I am not used to replacing these types of parts, except as necessary. Also, there is a note in the section on coolant flush & change that says, "Do not use radiator cleaning agents when anti-freeze has been added to the cooling water." Am I correct, that this note only pertains to a system that still has anti-freeze in it, and not to a system that had anti-freeze, but which has been drained? The only think I've done is replace filters, the radiator (due to a stick poking it).


I think I'm near 500 hours now and not too many complaints.

Bo - Thanks for the reply! I also talked with the (new) Service Manager at my dealership today. With regard to replacement of the intake air line, fuel line, and radiator hose & clamp, he said to examine them and if OK, continue to use them. Also, the note about the anti-freeze does only pertain to not adding the cleaning agent to the system before removing the anti-freeze solution. Thanks, again! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Think my B7100 is about 13 years old now. Never changed a water or air hoze. Anti freeze about every 5 years. It has 2300 +/- hours on it.
