The s/n on the tractor is B7100HD67184. Can someone tell me what year this is, or post a link to where I can go to find out?

I think I see 6 bolts holding the front wheels on. If so, it's from the 90s.

You are correct. It does have 6 lug bolts on the front wheels. Is there no way to tell from the s/n?

You can take a reasonably educated guess by comparing to other serial numbers. The flaw in that method is that the other tractors could have sat on the dealer lot for a year before being sold and the owner may not know about this. I bought mine used so I only have word of mouth to go on. My serial number is lower than yours and I'm told that I have a 92 or 93.
I was told that a dealer can look up the sale date, but that does not answer the question of how long it sat on the lot before being sold.
Year to year I don't think there were any changes, so it's not like cars where model year is important. Focus is on hours and the maintenance. It's not about how old it is it's about how much life is left in it.

Yea, this tractor is in excellent condition, but I'd just like to know a year model. It only has 590 hours on it.

As Tig stated, you definitely have one of the mid-90's models, as evident by the 6-lugs on the front wheels. Since we're talking about a a 6 year range, 11-17 years ago, the condition and hours are much more relevant than the exact year. These late-B7100, have some minor improvements over the older models, and, because they're newer, usually have lower hours too. In either case, they're very durable, simple machines, and with proper maintenance, will probably outlive all of us.

That is a real nice looking B7100.

Take a look at the rear wheels and see if there is a date stamped into the wheel. That date (if it's there) is the date the wheel was made. You can only assume that the tractor was made shortly thereafter.

You'll be very happy with it. For most of my uses, the B7100 (an HSD, like yours, but with a Woods FEL, supposedly a '98 model, which I had before my B7610) is every bit as capable as my B7610. In fact, in many cases, it was better, as it used about 2/3 the fuel. The main reason that I traded up to the B7610, was I wanted/needed more 3PH lift capability, as I move firewood pallets with it. I also wanted power steering for FEL work. The fact that I found a killer deal helps too.

If you do trade up, the B7100's definitely hold their value. I got more for mine that I paid for it. In fact I sold it for not a lot less than I paid for the B7610 :D:D

590 hours is very low. My first B7100, a 1980 gear-drive unit had just over 2000 hours, and was still very strong, and didn't leak or burn oil.

In today's HP focuses world, 16 engine/12 PTO HP doesn't sound like much, but it got the job done. I did lots of post holes with mine, and also ran my 53" yanmar tiller. It did fine in both tasks. It also ran a 60" MMM very well.

It used between 1/3 and 1/2 gallon an hour of fuel, maybe a little more mowing.

Maintain it, and enjoy it for many years to come!
