B7100.....what year is it?

I just bought a B7100 HST 4x4 with a LA300b FEL. The last owner wasnt sure of the year. Its got 6 lugs up front and ROPS....early 90s? Is there some way to tell from the serial #s? Anyone else have this FEL? Whats its rep.? It seems to work good , but when I was pressure washing the tractor , I noticed the subframe was broke in 2 places! Guess i gotta pull out the welder! Oh ya it seems to bog right down under load , is this just the way they are? Its my 1st tractor & I like it so far, but dont know much about them! Your info is appreciated.

Chopper, my '95 B7100 came with a B1630C loader; don't know about the LA300B.

The B7100 was produced from the mid-late 1970s to around 1997; the last B7100 that I saw new on the lot was in the summer of 1997. All of the wisdom on this board suggests that finding an exact year model using the serial number is nearly impossible.

Front Wheels: It sounds like you have read a few of the posts on this forum prior to submitting yours; the six lug front wheel does indicate that it is a later model B7100. I would guess the range to be 1989-1997 but I don't know for sure when they went from the 4-lug to the 6-lug front wheel.

FEL: I have never heard of an LA300B. Where is the source for the hydraulics? Do you have a single joystick FEL control or is there multiple control sticks? My B2150 tractor uses a LA350A loader and my Kubota FEL sales brochure indicates that there is a LA301 (no suffix alpa-numeric) that was designed for the B1700 and B2100 tractors. Bottom line: It sounds like your FEL was not originally designed for the B7100HSD. My guess is that it was designed for the older B7100 tractors (especially if it uses a front mounted hydraulic pump driven by the engine crankshaft) or else it was designed for a similiar sized Kubota tractor. Your Kubota dealer should know for sure.

Ive been asking around and it looks like my tractor is an early 90s. The FEL is a single joystick control and it gets its hydraulics from the hydraulic block on the right side of the tractor. I managed to dig up a operators manual for the LA300B it seems it was made for the B7100HSD, just like you said. Ive also heard that this loader was mostly sold in Canada? Thanks for the info.

If you provide your model and serial number, it should tell you the year...

A word of caution... I've tried on some models and their data wasn't complete. However, I took a quick look and it seemed that the data for the B7100 was pretty good...

I tried machinerylink & used up my 3 daily price checks! It seems the serial # check doesnt cover the 90 & up B7100s. Thanks anyway, I will go back tomorrow & try again.

If you register, you can have unlimited searches... It doesn't cost anything to register.

Like I said before, it doesn't have data on all tractors... I've had luck with some and less luck with others.

Interpolating between 1990-91... all serial # references stop @ 1990 on the B7100... there was a gap in production between 87-89 when sales had decrease down to about 1100 units per annual sales.
