B7100 upgrade help

I have a 1977 B7100 geared tractor with the 219 fel and 629 bh. I am going to look at a B1700 this Saturday. The motor is bad but it is HST. I was thinking about putting my good motor from my b7100 into the b1700 but want to know if it will work. Any ideas? I'm not too worried about the fel and bh, pretty sure I can make them work.

For what you could sell the B-7100 for it would buy you a new engine for the B-1700.
