Kubota B6200
My dad has given me his Kubota B6200 tractor with a B1630 loader. It has been sitting for quite some time. Got it started pretty easily, but the loader doesn't move. I know NOTHING about tractors....nothing. I'm currently ordering a service manual for it, but thought I'de pick some brains here. It doesn't look like there are any leaks anywhere, and the loader worked when the tractor was parked about 2-3 years ago. I don't even know where to check for fluid levels. Where should I start to look at this thing? Any help appreciated, CHRIS

Welcome to TBN! And, congratulations on your tractor. You are on the right track, getting a service manual. The first place to start is the fluid levels and make sure they are proper. Given the age of the tractor and how long it has been out of operation, I'd replace all fluids and filters. It will familarize you with the vehicle and that's very important.

I don't have specific experience with that particular tractor, thus will leave specifics to someone who knows more than I.

I would suggest you fill in your personal profile on TBN so we can know more details about your equipment and location. This can make a difference in how questions are answered.

Will do, thanks. I had already planned on a total service, but figured I should find out where the problem is before changing the fluids, as I may have to drain them again to fix whatevers wrong.
Soooo...I pulled the trans dipstick to check the fluid......trans fluid came pouring out of the tube as soon as the dipstick was removed. Over filled? or something else?

Check the rubber tube on suctiion line. These may not leak, but a pinhole will

prevent the pump from picking up oil. After all , it's been sitting a while and rubber rots.

I'll check that as well. This thing has all the original lines on it....maybe 22 years old. I'm betting they all need replaced.
