Tractor
Kobuta BX2380
Got a 48" box scraper for the B6000 today. Before I start working on the drive, I want to service this little tractor.

Does anyone have the owners manual on PDF file? Heck I can't even find the oil filter and where you refill. How much and what oil is a mystery too. Also what does the little red lamp over the key switch mean? The existing oil is pretty black, but it is at the top of the cross hatched portion of the dip stick. How does one set the throttle higher than idle? Steering, working the 3 pt and holding the throttle is a pain in the butt.

The tractor came with a rear mount Woods mower RM42YM. It works. Any idea of what it is worth. I have no need for the mower.

Thanks for the information. I have no idea what I am doing with this little tractor yet.

Had one years ago...sorry, no PDF...hardcopy on eBay. Oil filter is big plug rt rear side oil pan...clean screen/reinstall...no replaceable filter. Oil...2 liters 10w30. Red light = oil pressure. Tighten throttle pivot bolt until friction holds position...

Almost forgot...PTO turns opposite US tractors...mower only for early foreign tractors...

Try not to let it run out of fuel...pain to reprime...

I found a service manual online. Thanks for the info. I found the oil filler, it looks kinda like a power steering pump. I thought it was the pump for the 3pt hitch, but I guess it is the filler.

When adjusting the max up & down limits on the 3pt, is there an absolute limit that should not be exceeded? I'd just like to be able to get the box blade a little higher to clear mounds of dirt.

I also found, on top of the engine, a linkage between 2 points that go into the valve covers. I figure this is the compression release?

Still trying to figure out what to tighten up to provide some kind of throttle control.

Oil filler top l side engine ft cover. Follow 2 lines on rt side from 3pt to engine...that's hyd pump. Manual covers 3pt limit adjustment. Yes, linkage is decomp. Mine didn't like cool/cold weather...combination glow and decomp 1-2 revs to start. When servicing air cleaner, pay close attention to oil level...don't overfill...can suck excess into engine, causing runaway (another use for decomp)...

Can also use 3pt adjustable top link to raise implement.

hey guys, TY for the info. I too have a b6000. I bought a pdf online but its kinda blurry :(. I cant find the oil filter screen! I was able to finally figure out where to drain the oil, which was like molasses, but cannot find the oil screen location. its crazy how hidden these important things are, eh. the dip stick itself is in such a tight spot that i can barely get it out. anyways, hello and thanks for your help/time. any ideas where a guy can get a backhoe attachment? mine came with a front end loader(shovel/scoop) and the back has the rototiller...

The hyd filter is a screen (like said before). The top hard line on the hyd pump is the intake and goes to the rear. Where it screws into the trans just unscrew that fitting and the screen well come out with that fitting.
On the throttle control. The bracket that holds linkage to the arm, look on the left side there is a nut, just tighten that up a little.

Fireman,
Congradulations on the aquisiton. Neat little tractors, good friend had one till recently, and he tilled my garden each year for me. His came with paddle tires, but he adapted a set of truck tires to the rear that were the same circumference.
Whatever your plans, do pay close attention to the mention about the reverse turning pto. That is probably the biggest drawback on the little tractor, as it makes implements a challenge to find. If your mower is indeed a reverse turning mower and you don't need it, it is probably worth more to another B6000 owner than to anyone else. I sold my friend a regular turning mower and stepped back and watched him change the direction of it. Not as easy of a task as you might think, but still possible. For someone without a shop full of metal working tools, buying yours would be a lot easier than changing one over. (my friend enjoys those types of challenges).

Yes...filter screens for both. Engine filter screen is attached to drain plug.

...any ideas where a guy can get a backhoe attachment? mine came with a front end loader(shovel/scoop) and the back has the rototiller...

Attachments were scarce from beginning...new import/not many sold/backward pto. Almost all came w/tiller because 6000 was a rice paddy tractor in Japan...hence those "paddle" tires many imported with. Recall seeing BH exactly once...likely best chance now would be to adapt SCUT 3-point hitch type BH...
