Just traded my Bx on a B3350 with a 72" mid mount mower. My question is: should the mower raise and lower with the hydraulics like my Bx. I think someone at the dealer forgot to hook up "something". I did find 3 hydraulic leaks and tightened the fittings. That mower is a beast, surely I should be able to raise and lower it hydraulically. One more question, does anyone know the part number for the radio plig I need to install a radio. My dealer is still looking.

Believe it should work off the three point hitch. Make sure the round speed knob is not closed.

I don't have a MM mower, but it was my understanding that the MM on the BXX50's doesn't have a suspension system as it does on the BX. Mover adjustment is at the guide wheels only.

The radio uses a standard DIN plug, my Sony radio w/bluetooth came with the correct plug to mate with the plug already wired on the tractor. I added a toggle switch above the radio to allow the radio to play when the tractor key switch is off - so there's two positions, Radio goes on and off with key switch and radio stays on unless toggle is flipped back to position one.

I replaced rear cab speakers with better ones - made a dramatic difference in audio quality. Note that it is necessary to remove roof to do this, as kubota kindly uses plain old nuts on those speaker screws and they will fall off and down if you try to unscrew them without back access.

There should be more on my install in the B3350 & B2560 hints thread. Unfortunately all my pictures got "wiped" and the links to them don't work. There still on Photobucket but you'll have to look through the album at: Kubota Tractor Photos by bumperm | Photobucket

Well problem solved. A service rep came out today and guess what.... You need the 3 pt arms installed to raise the mower. Their are 2 brackets that slip on the pivot shafts for the 3pt that the arms hit and raise the 72" MMM. So I can't use the mower with the backhoe attached or the backhoe with the mower attached. Not really a big deal as the 3pt arms don't take but about 2 min to install and remove. Thanks for the comments gentlemen.

Glad you got the problem resolved. Mowing with the BH and FEL would add a lot of weight to the machine and tear up the ground. Once you take the BH on and off a few times you'll find it very easy to handle even though it is a pain to get everything lined up using the stabs and the bucket. Make sure that there isn't any paint or rust on the pins or the sub frame holes that the pins go in. When installing or disconnecting the BH, I found that idling the motor and using very small and gentle movements on the controls really helps. Good luck and enjoy!
