b3200hst
Bought a b3200 to do some FEL work and mowing on about 8 acres of horse property. At the moment it has 60inch MMM that runs effortlessly but takes forever. Does anyone have have experience running an 84 with a B3200? I know it would be on the low end of req'd HP, but I keep the grass long and it's a fairly flat property.

thx

I ran an 84" RFM for many years with a Ford NAA which as about the same HP, in heavy grass, I had to go pretty slow, but it worked.

It would handle it fine. I assume you are talking finishing mower?? If you are talking rough cut then you will be limited in speed in tall grass.

I'd be more inclined to run a 72" rear finishing mower. If you do go 84" it'll have to be pretty light duty in order to not be too heavy for the B3200. Once you get up to that size mower most of them are really heavy.

I might be a strain on your three point. I would think it would lift it. My 72" RFM weighs 620#.

3200 3pt will handle it just fine. They are rated to 1300# and I run around with a 1000# counter weight most of the time. Don't even know it is there. It has plenty of power for a 84" finishing mower.

Power wise, you will be stretching it. I think you would be ok if you were diligent about your mowing. As others have mentioned, the weight might be an issue. I use a 60" with my B2620- I mow often enough to be able to handle a 72" mower, but the weight keeps me from buying one.

A B3200 is just a hair bigger than my B7800. No matter what the lift capacity is rated for the three point the owners manual says 500 pound max for a three point mower on the three point of a B7800. With my 72" mower I am at 620 pounds. Lift capacity and maximum mower weight are not the same things in the Kubota manual.

I had a B7800 and a B3200 which I used a 6' RFM on. I first had a light weight cheap RFM on the B7800 and the tractor handled it weight wise and power wise fine but the mowing deck kept breaking on my rough hill side property. Barlows gave me my full purchase price back for the cheap deck toward a 6' Landpride RFM. The Landpride was a tank. No more breaking of the deck.
There was one issue but it wasn't major. When I'd get to the bottom of the hill and make my turn the deck sort of swung the tractor instead of the tractor swinging the deck. It wasn't a problem since I knew it was going to do it, after the first time.:) I Kept the deck and traded the B7800 to a L3240HST. The L3240 handled the deck like it wasn't there being about 1700 lbs heavier than the B7800 (same weight and HP as the B3200) but the L3240 would run out of steam near the crest of my hill being 1700lbs heavier and about the same HP as the B7800 and B3200 with the 6' Landpride RFM. So, power wise the B3200 will power a 6' for sure and probably the bigger one but if your on other than level to moderate rolling land you'll feel some deck swinging the tractor dynamics if you have a good heavy weight deck..

The 72" mower on my B7800 at 620 pounds is pushing it a bit. What saves me is our seven acre yard is flat as a pancake and the raising and lowering of the mower is infrequent. An additional 1700 pounds of tractor weight wouldn't be an option for me. That would put the weight of a tractor the same as my old MF135 that I traded because it was tearing up the yard when it was soft.
