Tom, hello and welcome to TBN. I do not think at all it is verbotten to diss the BX, in fact several have taken it to quite a high level of refinement. Nonetheless I am sure you will enjoy your new BX with or without a cheesy steering wheel. I imagine that the wheel from your TR250 might work--huh? Seriously you might also look at the wheel from the 2410, it looks like it should fit my BX (I got a 2410 also) Actually, the steering wheel works fine but I do know what you mean about the center cover, nothing is perfect. Have fun.

Thanks for the tip about the 2410. I'm going out to pull the wheel from my BX now and mount it straight. It looks like the BX wheel has no splines and the 2910 is splined, but I'm not sure. Is tbhe 2410 wheel splined, do you know?

Austin Healy was a dream of my youth never realised. Almost bought a new TR4A but ended up with a Chrysler 300 instead. Don't ask me to explain the difference in choiced cause I sure can't. Then again sure would have liked a Mini Cooper.

Always was a Porsche fan myself. Had a '77 911S with a built 2.7 ltr engine...two triple-barrel down draft Webers (mmmmm..did they sound sweet!!) and a "sport" (read: gutted) exhaust.
Sold it about 5 years ago when I got laid off from a job. I'd owned it for over ten years!

I believe that the BX wheel is splined. Don't bother pulling it to straighten, though. At the limits of the turn, a relief will open and let your steering wheel turn slowly, enough to easily have it out of alignment once again, or to put it back in alignment.

Roy, I have a 59' 100-6 two seater (see attached photo) it was my first car. Got it when I was 15. I have had 6 big healeys, never had the heart to sell this one. I owned a auto restoration shop at one time that worked mostly on Porsche's. I'm on my 18th one of my own now. I have a 76 911S with only 38k on the clock. It is all original right down to the tires! (they need to be changed this spring) It is in mint condition, and would show nicely. But I believe they are to be driven, not dusted. Had a 930 wide bodied slope nose with a built 3.2L in it once. Was clocked at the Glen on the straight at 186MPH! of course thats with a track tranny and some tweeks to the motor for the track. The car was a ball on the street with a different gear box in it! (topped out about 145MPH but it was quick) Now with kids and work I spend more time on the tractor than I do in the cars. Oh well it was fun while it lasted!
