Kubota specifies the B2782B for the B2650. Anybody know the difference between the Kubota B2782A and B2782B blowers? Lots of B2782A's for sale used but rarely a B. Yeah I know I should have starting looking before the snow arrived :)

I know a 3 point would be cheaper but like my old tractor I creak if I turn to sharp.

Thanks

Dave

I've also been trying to find the difference. I currently have a B2782B on my B2650 and the manual indicates it is for serial numbers 21211220 and up. I am wondering if the "A" uses a gear reduction drive as opposed to chain reduction on my "B".....or if the "A" is for rear 3pth. Just guessing.....Anybody out there got an "A" model?

I'm curious as well.
I have a B2782-no "A"model from 2007.
Never heard of an A model.
A business contact recently purchased a B2781B blower for his B7500 to upgrade from his previous B2660 blower.
Naturally,he bought the subframe and mid-PTO driveshaft kits.
I was kind of surprised that was even possible for his older unit.
He was concerned about the extreme drive angle of the front shaft.
Looking foward to more info-thanks!

RadTech in Canada makes them according to OrangeTractorTalks. They do have a phone number on their website, bottom of page:

RadTechnologies > Snow Blowers

Anyone ever figure this out? In the same boat. I do not think the dealerships know, they just qoute what "the book" says. I have a B2650 and see 2 B2782 blowers for sale near by.

I'd guess some sort of revision/improvement with different parts was made that necessitated the model designation changes. I think it unlikely that would affect which model/s of tractor these blowers will fit (with the right subframe). Do the used ones have the subframe front quick connect mount and driveshaft extension parts needed?

To find out for sure, you could call RadTech. I haven't bothered, as I bought the B2782B new with my tractor.

I see the newer units have a different gearbox, maybe the only difference.
So I would think the other components would be compatible?
Curious as well!

I believe the "A" are designed for the BX subcompacts and the "B" are designed for the larger b series compact tractors.

I might be mistaken, but think my previous BX2350 used the smaller BX2750D blower. The B2782 blower is much bigger.
