I've had my new tractor for a coupe of weeks now and have come across an annoyance that maybe some one has a solution to. I have found (twice now) that when I turn myself a bit to the right to watch what I'm doing behind me, my right calf contacts the loader control stick and pushes it back. This lowers the bucket and then raises the front end while I'm concentrating on my task behind me. My short term solution is to lock out the loader control until I need it then re lock it when I'm done. This is kind of a pain so I am looking for ideas. It seems some sort of guard would work. This can be attached to the fender or maybe the sheet metal at the back of the operators platform and then extend out and probably around the shaft to keep me from hitting it. A second possibility, but more complicated one, would be to re design the control shaft itself. The stock one seems to be welded to a plate that is bolted to the loader valve. A new plate and a shaft with different angle might work. I have attached a picture to show what I'm talking about. After the first angle closest to the knob, there is a short 8" or so straight piece to the second bend where it heads towards the back. The part I contact is that 8" straight piece and /or the second bend depending on my position.
Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
John
