Does anyone know why the optional 25x8.50-14 front / 15-19.5 rear R4 tires are recommended only for the B3350 and not for the B2650? Standard R4 tires on both are 23x8.50-14 front / 12.4-16 rear.

I e-mailed Kubota and asked about this when these tractors were introduced. If I recall right, they said the B2650 could fit the larger tires, but the 26HP tractor wouldn't handle the effective change in gearing as well as a 33HP would. It would end up making the tractor faster but with less torque applied to the road. I have no idea how serious of an issue it would be in reality -- you could certainly compare the outer diameters to get an idea how much it changes the effective gear ratio. I doubt anything less than 10% would be noticeable.
the B3350SU has those larger tires and no mid PTO (since its not functional with the big tires). You may find its not hugly more expensive than the 2650 and you know you have a good configuration. It never helps resale to have some hacked together configuration either.
Thanks for the responses. The configurator on the Kubota website shows that the larger tires on the B3350SU needs a steering stop which presumably increases turn radius. Makes sense that turn angle of the front wheels would need to be limited with the larger tires. We'll go with the regular R4 tires on a B2650 and probably also have the spaces installed for a bit more rear track.
