I just traded my BX2350 for a B2620. Hope they are a good tractor and no problems with this model. What do you all say? Will my 42 " tiller work ok with it? The PTO is about 3 " higher than the BX was and I had problems with it shearing pins if got to steep an angle while tilling. HJT

I sold my BX and went with a B2320 for ground clearance issues. Kept all my implements from the BX days and they work perfectly well behind the B.

You "might" have to be sure you have enough length in your PTO drive shaft. I had plenty to give on my RFM, but if you had cut yours too short, it presents a potential safety issue. I think, but cannot remember, that one should have at least 50% overlap of the shafts.

I pull my 48" RFM with zero issues. I don't believe you'll have any issues with your tiller either. The tractors are just not THAT much different, although the B is considerably taller, which I find wonderful in the garden, especially using the cultivator.

My guess is that you'll love your 26. Be safe and have fun!!

Congratulations on your new Orange. I have a 36" tiller that I used on a BX2660, my neighbors BX2350 and now my B2320 and it works fine on all of them. Don't think you'll have any issues with your iarger tiller. I've never had 50% of shaft inserted and have never had any problems. In fact I use QH's and the ones that come straight back made drive shaft to short and it came apart and switched to the QHs that hang down and it tills fine so I probably only have 4 to 6 inches of shaft catching.

Don't want to go down a bunny trail, but the PTO shaft length is an important safety issue, especially when changing tractors, which typically changes the useable length of the shaft.

The PTO shaft should have 2-3" of free excess length available at both ends of the shaft, allowing for collapsing due to uneven terrain or when picking up implement. This prevents the shaft from damaging the PTO unit. That's a nightmare scenario. But, the shaft also extends (pulls apart) in uneven terrain as well. Thus, most OEM implement manual, including Bush Hog, state the minimum overlap required for safety is 6". Most guys are more comfortable having even more, if possible.

When switching tractors, but keeping an implement, this often comes into play. There are some great threads on here about this issue. I learned a lot from them years ago. Here's just one:

I've had my B2620 for three years now, and haven't had any problems with it at all. I haven't been able to use it as much as I would have liked to (170 hrs.) but it has proven to be a good choice for me. We have used my implements on my neighbor's Massey 1528, and have checked the PTO shaft length, but haven't run into any issues there either yet. I had a BX22 for about the same time, and do like the B2620 better overall. My only pause there is that I'm not sure how well it would work finish mowing my yard, and I would have not hesitated to mow with the BX. If I had planned on having a backhoe, I think I would have been happier with the larger B3200, or any of that size "B", or even an L. The newer styled B3200, B3300SU, L3200, and L3800 were not available when I bought my tractor. In my woods, fixing up the old logging skidder trails things have been tight for my little B at times, and it could have been heavier at times, but it has done everything I needed doing so far, and fits into some pretty tight places, but won't fit a couple when the trees grow a little more! :D

You'll love your tractor, and apart from bp's shaft length advice, the only problem I think you might find with the 42" tiller is that it won't cover your tire tracks....which are 48"
