I have had the loader off and on 5 times now. Today I tried to put the loader on and cannot get the Blue and Red from the loader to connect to the tractor no matter how much I push them. The ball bearings release fine.

I can connect the white or yellow from the Loader to either the Blue or Red on the Tractor just fine but not the Blue or Red.

What the Hey? Any ideas?

Your lines have built up pressure in them, could be from sitting in the sun or the loader settled and the pistons moved. Take a rag and put it over the QD, then push the QD against the loader frame to push in the poppet or ball to release a little pressure.

Usually this is the result of pressure in the system. Move the tractor in place to mount the loader and shut the engine off. Turn the key and with the engine off move the joystick in all four directions to release the pressure on the tractor side.

Next, to release the pressure on the loader side you can cove the connector with a towel and using a piece of wood held against the ball on the end give it a rap with a hammer. The wood will prevent damage to the connector. Careful here...Fluid will fly all over the place if you have not covered the end completely with the towel. Do not start the tractor during this or you will have to start all over again.

I now try to remove the loader when the tractor has been run and the fluid is hot and mount it back on right after I start a cold tractor to so I have as little expansion of the fluid and the resulting build up of pressure as possible.

Good Job Guys. Thanks.

I went back out and used a wooden dowel on the pin and rapped it with the handle end of a cresant wrench.

I got a squirt out of it like a humming bird does on the patio door when leaving the feeder.

All is well now.

I did remove the loader with cold oil and it was setting in the sun today so that helps to explain the logic.

What gets me is that I hooked up the white to the blue and moved the loader valve thinking it was pressure. Maybe I didn't hit the sweet spot.

Thanks again. Makes this place a good spot for info and keeps me from looking like an idiot with the good dealer I have.
