I am trading up to a B series from a bx, and was on the fence between a 2601 and a 2650. I was leaning towards the 2601 until my old neighbor went down to the dealer with me and talked me into the 2650. More power, bigger hydro pump, more versatile backhoe, that kind of thing. He's an old farmer and retired equipment operator so I trust his judgement on that, except one thing. This tractor will be my sole mower as well, and I'm uncertain if I'll be happy with the mower deck. Right now I have a bx2360 with a suspended deck, I understand the b2650 is a contact deck. I really like my suspended deck and have no experience with a contact deck, can anyone describe pros and cons? Most importantly, with my bx I just leave the deck on 95% of the time and raise it up when doing other work, do I have that option at all with the contact deck or do I need to take it on and off each time I mow if I'm using the tractor for other jobs between cuttings? As for the hoe, anyone want to comment on the Bh77 versus the bh70?
On a separate note, I will never understand why a digital dash is considered an upgrade, I love that analog dash on the 2601 and cringe at the thought of staring at that digital dash on the 2650 for the next 20 years!
