kubota B26 TLB,former B7610 owner
Awhile back Steve from Carver Equipment posted some info about the new
B26 TLB.In this post he stated that it would list around 28,000 w/quotes
ranging from 24,800+ depending on options and bucket choice.Yesterday i went down to my local Kubota dealer and he gave me a price of 31,000+tax.
Now i realize its early to actually get one of these as i dont think any of the dealers actually have one,and since there are alot of guys who "have to have" this "new" TLB,some dealers will try to price gouge, but this is a little
too much.Actually alot too much.Isn't there a standard for pricing among these guys.I can understand a little difference but not this much.
I guess i'll wait and see and get another price when these models actually do get here, but if these things are gonna be that much,i think i'll keep my B7610 w/fel & bh.It may not be a "real" TLB,but it is paid for.
I dont know if it makes a diff. in price but i live in N.E. Pa.

I think youre right. As nice as the B26 would be for the light commercial user, the price is out of control. The competition for small agile equipment is pretty fierce if you include track steers and skid steers that are truly industrial. The B26 will be a flop if the price is above about $26K in my opinion. Just to little HP for to much cost.

I certainly agree with you guys, that sounds way out of line. It would be interesting to see what a dealer like Messicks in PA has to say about this from a dealer perspective.

$31,000.00

I can only imagine what it will be here north of the border :(

That is outrageous, especially when you can get an L-39 TLB for $34k-$35K.....

Saw an ad for the B26, but Kubota has NO info posted on their website! How can a dealer price quote something that they don't have and why would anyone want to buy something they can't check the spec's. on, much less touch and feel?

Easy to price something you don't have. Not so easy to buy something like this without toucking and feeling it.

I believe the B26 should start shipping in March.
Pricing on a TLB can vary greatly b/c of the many options(some very $) available for these machines. One dealer may have a base machine and another may have ordered with a different configuration.
I would hazard to guess that $31,000 would be a very realistic number with a hydraulic thumb and/or 4n1 Loader bucket.

Evidently the B26TLB isn't shipping until March, but a certain NC dealer (who advertises a lot on this site) has a price for it on his website that is significantly less than the $28k you are remembering. I would put up a link, but I don't want to be accused of shilling for him. :D

I just purchased a B26TLB which is to be delivered around the end of March or first of April. It was less than $29K including transportation 900 miles. That has the thumb, quick connect front buck and BH buckets. The extra hydrulics for the grapple bucket, rubber pads for stabilizers, work lights front and rear (Above and beyond the standard frt. & rr lights). My local dealer had a qoute of $31K and a bit above. :)

Hey guys, remember that includes a 900 mile transportation cost also. $29K is only about $2K more than the B21TLB which sold like hot cakes, more especially now they have all the rebates to get rid of them and make room for the B26TLB. Transportation is a bit more than $900. :)

Ralph, your going to get asked a lot about your new B26. It would appear it has many, many attributes that folks are looking for. Hope you will post your likes, dislikes etc. after you get your B26. It certainly has my attention. Can't wait to hear about it from you. Rat

I agree!

Market segment has a lot to do with what a manufacturer price their stuff. Look at a Buick vs. a Caddy. The new Buick is a bargain for the technology. Caddy, well I'd buy German.
