I have a b1550 and want a loader but none to be found for less than $5000cnd. Tractor is gear 4wd bi speed and 1100 hrs. I've been looking around at replacing it and leaning towards a massey 1705 with loader. Kubota dealer has a used b2410 with 800hrs come with loader and 6ft farm king finishing mower. It is hst but not bi speed turn. He is asking $10000 cnd. Anything I should be checking for when I look at it? Checked out new up here in Canada and anything with same size frame as the 2410 or my 1550 is $20000. The smaller size jd 1023e, Kubota bx series etc don't even have a real drawbar. Dealer can get me a b2320 for $17000 a 2014 model, a b2301 is $21000. Wife said to get new with a warrantee but to come in around the $14000 have to get a smaller tractor such as the massey 1705.
I owned this same tractor for 11 years and loved it. Mine had similar hours and still ran great. My motivation for selling it had to do with the FEL. I was fine with its weight capacity but it didn't raise very high and there wasn't any method of making it a quick attach. i sold it last September for $11,000 US but mine had a mmm vs a three point model.
It seems that you have ruled out new but if you reconsider, you should be looking at the B2620/2601. These use the same engine as the B2410 and the FEL has similar specs (updated with a higher lift height and quick attach options). The B23XX models have less hp and their loaders are not as strong. One last tidbit is that the 01 series uses Position Control for the three point. The 20 series uses the quarter-inch valve. The B2410 has Position Control which I prefer.
If you have anymore questions on a B2410, let me know and I'll try and help you the best I can.
Thanks for your input. Up here a new b2301 is $21000 so I'm assuming the b2601 is another 2. Saw a new 2013 massey 1526 for 18000. It has a loader and 3 range hydo trans. Not sure what to do. JD has the 2025 on for $22000 with loader if you buy another attachment. Would like to get a tractor that has a real hitch like my b1550. The bx models just have a plate.
I never looked at the B2301 when searching so I can't say what the cost difference would have been but you are probably close. I did consider the JD 2025 but it didn't fit me too well. There is a hump in the middle on the floor and it doesn't have a tilt steering wheel so getting on/off wasn't too smooth. The newer kubota models have a better open floor layout and a tilt steering wheel but my 2410 was still easier to get on/off. The peddle on that one is designed so there isn't anything on the floor where your foot would slide past. If that Massey model is the one I'm thinking of, that would be a great choice. It came up in my research but I don't have a dealer near me so I didn't get too serious about it but off my memory, it has great specs. It is actually in the next frame size up so you will get more weight and the loader is a lot better so it would would be a more capable machine. The deal is pretty good because it has been sitting on their lot for a while but you will still get the full warranty from the day you get it. I've had both a 2 range and 3 range hst and I personally don't see it as a deal breaker. I can see the difference between them but I don't think it is a must have.
