I just got a price on a b2400 hsd 60mmm, FEL, R4tires filled, Curtis
enclosed cab with heater, chains and two sets of blades for the mower. Its really pretty clean and has 300 hours on it. I got the guy down to $13500.00. Good deal? fair deal? Or do I go back for more off?

Just for comparision …

There is an ad in our local paper for a B2400 bi-speed w/ 60”MMM & FEL and grass catcher with 460 hrs for $12600. I haven’t seen it but seller says always garaged so I would assume it’s it pretty good shape.

Hey frank, What size back blade do you use, and is it good for snow? I got a long gravel driveway, and want to use the bucket and blade to get rid of the white stuff. Live in the snow belt in upstate new york, we get hammered here most winters, can't
afford much more than a back blade right now.
Thanks, Tim

TIM: sorry i have not gotten back but was kinda busy. i also live in upstate n.y about 20 miles SW OF BUFFALO. MY REAR BLADE IS A 6 FT. and it works well on small amts. of snow especially if it is dry snow i usually limit the blade to snow that is 4 or 5 in. deep other than that i use the FEL REALLY DEPENDS ON THE TYPE OF SNOW. the only thing wrong with the 6 ft. is i can't spin it aroung to push with, it has the capability to turn, but it hits my lift arms. i think a 5 ft. would not do that, but am not sure. check that aspect out before u get one.

I have a 60" on my 2400 and it rotates around fine. I can see where a 72" would hit though. I'm in upstate NY also and it works fine for snow....
