B2400
I need some asssistance. I have found a 3 yr old B2400 (new in 1998)that has 610 hrs on it with a factory loader and backhoe. The B2400 is a 4wheel drive Hydro with bi speed turn. Turf tires on the Front and R4?\'s on the back. Looks in pretty good shape except for a dent in the hood.Is it worth it? I need a small compact tractor to do the landscape and grading around the house (new addition)along with plowing in the winter.

If backhoe is permanently mounted moving snow could be a problem. Does tractor have a 3PH? Having turf's on front and R-4 rears may be a problem in 4WD. Tire diameters may not be a match. It still would be a good buy if price were right.

The Backhoe is the standard Kubota B4672 which is removable. Yes, there is a 3pt. R4's on the back were an upgrade option at time of purchase.

I'm not very good at prices. But I would not let anybody know your location until you have made a decision on whether or not to purchase this tractor./w3tcompact/icons/wink.gif

That price sounds very good to me. I hunted for a long time to find the b2400 that I bought recently. It is a 95 model with 351 FEL and Kubota 60" midmount mower with just over 1000 hrs. It also included a nice set of 60" Landpride implements, a tiller and brushhog that would probably retail new for 3500 dollars or so alone. It's not flawless and was probably never given the care that some on this board (myself included) might have given it had we bought it new...
ie. constant cleaning and waxing and detailing etc! The paint is oxidized a little in some places, but it runs cool and starts just like a new one. It operates the 5' brushhog and tiller with no problems. The FEL and mmm have exceeded my expectations. The price asked and gladly paid was $12,000.
I live in Indiana and I would not have been able to afford a new one with all that equip. The prices around here new would have been over 20,000 I think. I love the tractor and was glad to find it. Now, if I could just find a backhoe for it!
Would you consider selling backhoe if you buy it?

Thanks Rob:
Well I went and bought the tractor this weekend. The dealer wouldn't budge on the 15K price for the B2400 tractor (with FEL and Backhoe) but added a 60" MMM, 60" rear blade (Rhino), and 54" box scraper (Tufline) which he would deal on so I guess I did OK. I also had him agree to do a full 600 hr service on the unit and chage the main hydro hose on the backhoe becasue I didn't like the looks of it. I would rather not state the total price since someone will alway tell me of a better deal...

Now the hard part, waiting. The dealer needed to order the attachments and wants to set up the mower before delivery. Can't wait to "play". Any advice on the B2400?

PS: Sorry but I want to keep the backhoe. I think that is probebly why I decided to buy this one rather than looking at new...
