I am purchasing a used B2400 and bought a Tufline 54" box blade for it. The dealer just called and said the 54" is out of stock at the wharehouse and will I take a 60" for the same price? Should I? Will a B2400 (R4 tires) handle a 60" box blade or will the tractor bog down?

Nobody can really give you an answer; either size will bog you down under some conditions, and neither one will under other conditions. Personally, I'd go for the 60" one, but there may be times when you want to tear up the ground with the scarifiers and you only want to use some, but not all, of them at once. I used a cheap 60" one behind a B7100 for a few hours and would have kept it if the welds hadn't broke, so I then bought a 48" Tufline. And now of course, I'm using a 60" one behind my B2710.

I use a 60" on my B21 (21hp) without any problems. As Bird said, you could over do it with a 48" at times, but for the most part, you want something as wide or wider than your tractor.

Thank you! I told the dealer to give me the 60" box blade.
