Finally got to the 50 hours mark. Took just over a year! Our winter was below average for snow fall, so I hardly ran her at all.

Anyway, got my filters and oil, everything I thought I needed for the service.

I'm using Amsoil 15W40 Synthetic in the engine.

Oil change was more of a pain than I anticipated. Who designed the location on the oil filter?! Right up against a radiator hose and in a location that lets lots of nasty used oil leak down into the frame and frame cross member. Made a mess there. I bet oil will drip for the next month from the nether regions no rag will get to. I also shredded my fingers on the radiator drain valve and the clips that hold the hoses on. I bet the same guy designed the oil fill to be right under the center support rod and that cable. Even using a funnel I managed to spill oil down into the motor.

Moved to the back of the tractor to do the transmission oil filter. Looked at the manual and the filter and figured out the dealer gave me the wrong filter. I got a hydraulic oil filter. Wait, I thought the hydraulic oil was the transmission oil and vice-versa.:confused3:

Well back to the dealer next week to get the correct filter. I am assuming all the hydraulic fluid will run out of the tractor when I try to change the filter (that's just my luck). I was thinking I wanted to change to SUDT2 anyway, so I might just replace the fluid and both filters. With my average usage so far it would almost 8 years before the service actually calls for it!

I also need to pick up a new hydraulic line for the loader. The cloth sleave thing wasn't up far enough and the loader frame ate right through the one rubber hose. Can't believe it hasn't burst. It's worn a third of the way into the hose. But the cloth sleave does do a great job of sanding the paint right off the side engine cover panel. All in just 50 hours.:mur:

I thought being a bit bigger the B would be easier to service than my BX was, but I didn't have nearly the aggravation with it.

Just having one of "those" days I guess.

I 've got a 2009 B2320 HSD . Maybe the model has changed, but mine has 2 filters one that services the transmission and one that does the hydraulics . One is longer than the other .

On the topic of all hydraulic fluid leaking out upon change, I had great success doing it this way . Locate drain pan/container under filter . Have new filter ready to go and laying close under the tractor . Unscrew old filter and quickly put thumb over the hole . I 'm 5' 6" and have a small thumb . Drop old filter in drain pan . Remove thumb and quickly install new filter . I was surprised how easily the new filter lined up to screw in . Lost very little fluid this way .

I agree about the engine oil filter/rad hose placement. After changing mine and trying to clean up the cross-members I still had "drips" that had me questioning whether I put the filter on right or had it too loose or something. All drips have finally stopped after a week or so I guess all is well....all levels are constant so I should be good to go for another year or so.

Well, I ran back over to the dealer and picked up the transmission oil filter. I decided to go ahead and just replace the trans/hydro fluid and have it done. Went with the Super UDT2. This part was very straight forward. I noticed right away there is less whine from the transmission and hydraulics. Maybe it's just my brain justifying the cost of the fluid, but I'm glad I did it. The replacement hose was in so I got that installed too. The worn hose was just down to the metal threads showing, but not leaking. I'll keep it for an emergency spare. On the positive side this part of the service was much easier than working on the BX, so I guess it all balances out in the end.

Things are looking up for you now I can see. Other members have posted that short of burning the house down and stepping on a rake, the project was a bust. I think you will like working on your B2320 better than the BX in the long run. Since it sits higher, getting to some of the parts is easier in my estimation. Fortunately, the cloth sleeve adjustment I made early on, so no damage was done there.....except for rubbing the paint off the side of the hood. Oh well. Cheers, Mike
