Ralph, I had the
B2320, the predecessor and really, the 2301 is just "updated" with tilt steering, arms rests perhaps, and other niceties, but same tractor underneath, for all intents and purposes.
The tractor was flawless in virtually every way. One thing I found was the tires really, really need
ballast as the tractor is light. The hydraulics are very good and the bucket-loader was strong and fast. Three point was fine, but the turn-buckles would do well to be replaced with sliding bars such as the more deluxe units have. Some guys fab them up and sell them no doubt, if you go that route.
The engine was plenty powerful for the weight of the machine as traction will always be challenging getting that torque to the ground. The HST was typical and you may well wish to break it in and then do some fine tuning with pressure relief. Mine was far too "light" on the relief. Not a difficult or expensive adjustment to make. The steering geometry is a note worthy item. The front tires/wheels have a kind of tilt when turning that "some" folks claim is harder on the turf grasses than they expected. I'd agree that you can mar the grass with the loader on and making sharp turns.
Over all, the tractor is a sweet dream. Kubota may also have "updated" the HST pedal arrangement on the 2301. I'm not a fan of a cradle and prefer the pedals as was on the 2320.
The three range trans is nice, but Hi is really, really fast. Not very practical unless you're up for a road trip.
Again, superb machine. Try one on for size and see if you like it and like the updates. Best to you.
