Hi All.

I have a B2150 with a LA350A loader.

One of the hoses from the tractor Hydro controller to the loader controller has developed a pin hole and is leaking.

I have to replace it. Does anyone have any tips on the procedure ? Can I just relieve the pressure with the joystick and then disconnect the hose and have minimal leakage?

I don't know if the dealer will have the hose in stock. So can I insert some sort of plug into the ports so I can use the tractor to cut grass if the part is not available?

Thanks !

Shut the tractor off put the bucket on the ground, move joystick a round to relieve the pressure remove the hose. Any ag or construction dealer should be able to make a hose while you wait, you don't need to order on from Kubota.

Thanks powerstroker444e.

I have the FEL detached already. So I'll just relieve the pressure with the joystick and replace the hose.

Is it common fro the hoses to just develope pinholes ? I dont' see any visible signs of damage on the outside of the hose ?

And when I add back the Hydro/Transmission fluid, should the tractor be hot or runnign for a while to check the level of the fluid ?

I have two fluid fill ports under the seat adn I think I can add to either one of them or shoudl I add som eto each ?

Thanks again.

Most likely you won't lose enough fluid to matter just cycle the loader a few times and shut the tractor off and check the level. Add if needed both fills go to the same reservoir so you.
As for why hoses leak, I most get holes rubbed in them or dry rot which allows the metal to rust in the hose, others just blow. I have several machines but my b26 seems to go through more hose than any other .

Thanks for the help.

It was pretty good drip from the hose and fairly large pool of fluid on the garage floor.

I checked the level when I was trying to figure out exactly what was leaking and it didn't even read between the marks on the dipstick.

So I'll definately need to add some.

I just ran over the a local Hydro shop with my hose. Yes.... they could make me a hose.

But it was MORE expensive than the factory hose.

So I ordered the factory hose from my local dealer. They will put in the order Monday morning and should be in in a few days.

I'll just have to wait to finish cutting the grass.

But how is it that a part cost MORE locally than a part imported from Japan ?

Tim I have the same tractor as you. Our local Napa store makes hoses. When I bought my tractor all the hoses on the FEL were in pretty bad shape . I bought all the fittings and hose on ebay and had a buddy that works in the maintenance shop at the coop where I work made them up for me . Saved a ton of money :) I am in the middle of replacing a rear axle seal now. .My 2150 has about 1100 hours on it .

Hi jmz1.

My B2150 has 980 hours on it and I keep it in the garage so it looks pretty decent.

I bought all new tires for it last year and 2 years ago I spent a bunlde getting the throw-out bearing replaced. ($3800)

I like the tractor and it does most everything I ask of it.

I sure hope there was a lot more to that repair than just the release bearing. Like replacing the input shaft and some machining to repair the worn out pilot bushing and crankshaft. $3800 is awfully steep for just a clutch and release bearing on that model.

The throw bearing replacement requires the tractor to be broken into two parts. You always rerplace the water pump at the same time. But that job is probably one of the biggest repair jobs fro that tractor.

The stinkin' shop had it for 2 months.

The tires were about $1800 because those Rear Firestone tires are expensive. I went with Carlisle for the front.

I have a tiller, snowthrower, single bottom plow, cultivator, FEL and the 5' belly mower.

Last season I upgraded to the high output alternator and bought some Rigid D2 LED lights.

The only other thing I wanted was a Post hole digger. I missed a super deal on one last year and have given up on getting one.

I have hand dug all the holes I need for now.

I'd like to sell it or trade it in for a B3030/3000 with a cab, but my better half won't allow it.
