B2100 Tractor Hydro leak? Possible buy

Hi all! My first post here. I am considering buying a local 1 owner 2000(year) B2100 4WD (450 hrs) with a 5 ft belly mower. Clean and Garage kept. I can only find 1 thing that worried me. I noticed what seemed to be hyro fluid(clear and clean) right in the very front edge(center of the deck) Seemed to be dripping from a tube of some sort(Im guessing the driveshft for the front axle is???) Any wow was coming from that area. What could this be a sign of and how big a problem could this be. Is this particular modle a lemon or a known performer? Any comments would be truly apreciated. The only problem is it has no front loader. BTW, what would a fair price be for a tractor like this. Thanks. Thomas.

if it is a good deal buy it and a few gallons of hydro fluid. run it for a few months and decide if you even need to fix it.

that is about as helpful as i can be. i have no knowledge of the model in question.

Are you talking about a leak near the steering column. If so could be leaking from the lines that connect to the steering column. If so it is a realitively easy repair. On my B2400 I had a loose steering column. The steering column is bolted on with two bolts. One of which unbolted. Anyway the play in the steering column caused one of the lines to crack at the connection to the steering column. I replaced the steering column bolt and hydraulic line. Problem solved. I thing the hydraulic line cost about $30
