Hopefully someone will be able to help me with my 1998 Kubota B20 TLB.
I bought this machine used and it has been a great unit. It does however have something on it that I am confused about. On the bottom of the trans. there is a bolted on housing about the size of a soft ball. It hangs down below what is basically a flat trans. housing. It has a large plastic plug in it and what looks like a drain plug. I thought it might be a hook-up for a mid PTO but I would not think that a mid PTO would be an option for a B20 which is bacially a construction unit. Maybe the trans. in the B20 is the same one used in the B8200 or other model which would explain why its there, but why put it on the trans. in a B20? Because my place is very rocky I am concerned about how far it hangs down. I would like to know for sure what it is and if I could remove it and replaces with plate maybe. If it can't be removed I will fab a skid plate. I should have taken a photo but forgot. If no one knows what it is I will post a photo and maybe that will help. Thanks Bill

I have the photo but am not sure how to post it. Could I e-mail it direct to you?

You'll get more help by posting them to this thread.

Here's how you do that:

Below this box you type in you'll see this box. You may need to click double arrows inside the circle to the far right to expand the box open.

Once open, you'll click on Button labeled as Manage Attachments. This opens another window/tab. Here you'll see this:

From there, you'll navigate on your own computer to where the photos are stored, choose from 1-4 photos, each being selected from its own Browse button, then click Upload when done adding photos to your 'queue'.

You can't hardly see them, but I've attached some thumbnails to help you see what I'm talking about. You'll have to click on them to be able to see them. I saved them in the wrong format, so they are smaller than I wanted.

There are 2 photos attached. One is a single long, thin, gray line. The other has a small box.

If you can't make them out when 'opened', let me know, and I can redo them later today.

I hope this helps.

You've got me. I went out and checked my L35 and can see where something like that can be bolted onto my transmission as well, but can't hazard a guess as to it's purpose.

Hope someone else checks out your thread and can help you.
