Hopefully someone will be able to help me with my 1998 Kubota B20 TLB.
I bought this machine used and it has been a great unit. It does however have something on it that I am confused about. On the bottom of the trans. there is a bolted on housing about the size of a soft ball. It hangs down below what is basically a flat trans. housing. It has a large plastic plug in it and what looks like a drain plug. I thought it might be a hook-up for a mid PTO but I would not think that a mid PTO would be an option for a B20 which is bacially a construction unit. Maybe the trans. in the B20 is the same one used in the B8200 or other model which would explain why its there, but why put it on the trans. in a B20? Because my place is very rocky I am concerned about how far it hangs down. I would like to know for sure what it is and if I could remove it and replaces with plate maybe. If it can't be removed I will fab a skid plate. I should have taken a photo but forgot. If no one knows what it is I will post a photo and maybe that will help. Thanks Bill
